….._Amb. Elijah Onyeagba PhD opined as he hints at Nigeria's preparedness to sign more diplomatic partnerships with the Republic of Burundi._

The Nigerian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Burundi, His Excellency Ambassador Elijah Onyeagba PhD, has hinted that the Nigerian Government through its Embassy in Burundi is set to sign more diplomatic treaties with the Burundian government on Trade and investment. He made this known while featuring in the African Leadership Magazine (Leading from front): February 2022 edition.
According to the Head of the Nigerian Mission in Burundi, ”at the heart of our President's African diplomatic charter are unity, security and progress of the African sub region and in line with this commission, Nigeria has entered into two treaties with the Republic of Burundi; the latest being the Nigeria - Burundi Joint Commission which opened massive opportunities in Technical cooperation in education, health and politics.

The Nigerian Diplomat said, "in the entertainment and creative arts sectors, work is ongoing which will result in collaborations. Nigerians are very creative and dynamic people while Burundians are very structured and disciplined. This provides substantial opportunities for partnership in several spaces such as fashion, manufacturing, agricultural production and processing of raw material to finished goods. These areas open massive doors to curb our unemployment challenges, a major problem with managing our youth. As we explore further bilateral agreement between our two nations, new opportunities will continue to unfold." he concluded.

The African Leadership magazine is published by ALG Strategy Group Limited and showcases the best of Africa to a global audience, telling the African story from an African perspective; while proposing solutions to peculiar challenges being faced by the continent today. Since its maiden edition in August 2008, African Leadership Magazine has grown to become the leading pan-African leadership-focused publication read by over 580,000 targeted international investors, business executives, government policy makers and multilateral agencies across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, Europe and the US.
