In response to the recent thread of looming problem of artisan and craftsmanship in Nigeria below are the eight major problem Nigeria youth are facing.
1 FOOD INFLATION: In the 80s and 90s.there is always enough food to eat when you are still an apprentice. Even some nice boss always give their apprentice money for food.how do you want emeka to spend that 300 a day .money for food.

2 PRESSURE FROM YOUTH GOING INTO ONLINE SCAM: Imagine seeing your mate making it Big with just laptop. Phone and standby generator and some other things. While you enroll with one boss after spending 4 to 5years in school before graduating then . Another struggling for years before becoming a boss on your own and struggling for your own costumer.

3. MANY WICKED BOSS FEW GOOD ONES: Some boss will want you to go through the hardship they experience too before you end your apprenticeship. Imagine your boss sending you away and telling you not to come back until you buy 5liters of kerosene just because you came late.

4 NIGERIA HARDSHIP: Imagine youth learning work and leaving alone not under parent . Imagine FEEDING . HOUSE RENT. ELECTRICITY BILL ... remember you wont be paid when learning under many boss out there . God bless the good ones out there.

5 FUND FOR SETTING UP YOUR OWN SHOP: Many apprentice don't usually get the huge cash for buying there own machine and tools when setting up there own shop.. compare the cost of sowing machine,hair dryer, glass cutter, etc Back then to there current price now..

6 MANY LIKE PATRONIZING THE WELL KNOWN: Many Like patronizing the popular ones in town without giving room for the new and upcoming ones. Please if you have a new tailor plumber hairdresser barber painter bricklayer electrician please try to patronize them once in awhile. They need encouragement

7 NIGERIAN GIRLS: Nigerian guys can date you if you are a tailor hairdresser etc . But to be sincere many Nigerian girls don't like dating guys learning craft.they prefer the Yahoo boys. And don't forget many apprentice can't get you that urgent 2k ocassional 5k periodic 10k.

8 GET RICH QUICK SYNDROME:The Nigeria youth are no longer patient again. Teenagers want to drive latest car. Without going through legit means that can take years to acquire.

NOTE; Please when you see any apprentice try tip them when leaving that shop. It can go a long way.
