Mrs Viola Onwuliri replaced the former Imo Deputy in the last election as Ohakims running mate. She has also replaced the former deputy in the ministerial list sent to the Senate by President Goodluck Jonathan.

What really happened? I was hearing of Ada Okwuonu. Suddenly she was dropped for the Prof? What has Ada done wrong? I hear that the Prof and her VC husband are corrupt. If so, does it mean that Imo has no better candidate than all these folks, ageing Ada included?

It is sad that people would open their mouths and curse in an attempt to tarnish people of known integrity. Both Prof. Viola Onwuliri and her husband Prof. C. Onwuliri are great people and servants of the people and corruption certainly isn't in their lexicon. The VC for instance single handedly revamped FUTO which was an institution on the decline. Check!! the facts are there. The wife on the other hand, an eminently qualified Professor of Medical Biochemistry and long standing advocate for Nigeria in the figh against HIV/AIDS has continued to prove to the world that Nigerian Women have a lot to offer. Do you know that she was the first African Woman to serve on and be nominated into the Executive council and governing council of the International AIDS Society in Geneva. She is also the first to be nominated as Deputy Governor, Commissioner and Minister in the same year in our country. Just watch out for the Lady, She would do great things. Lastly, Ada Okwonu is not being antagonized by anyone. The President only looked at both CVs and made a choice. I know Viola personally respects and has worked well with Ada Okwonu. so don't insinuate what isn't there or what never existed,  Please,
