Back then in the mid 2000s, I had this guy I did business with that stayed around festac area. This fellow owed me money. All of a sudden he called me to come an he paid me. He bought me a beer and I enquired about his money making ventures.
Nigger opened up to me. He said business had been slow but what was surviving him was that around that area you had "staking shops", just as you have bettting shops now.
You go the and stake money on a consignment, you are issuef a ticket, more like a promissory note. Now if the consignment you staked money on goes through, you get double your money. If it fails you loose your owo!
My paddy then had 5 streight runs staking 200k each back then!
