Subsidy is a scam, where is the fuel paying for wat we didn't use

It's only in Nigeria, where an Agency like the NNPC and other Subsidiaries receive govt supports, yet are not contributing anything to make Nigeria great. For instance,NNPC have been declaring negative results of NBillions, every quarter, yet all these Officials have never been sanctioned for inefficiency nor get terminated of appointments! Yet, they are using indirect means of justifying non- performance with the govt supports
.How can we have Refineries that are not functional, yet they keep saying Subsidy, which doesn't exist anyway!
Very soon, they will be allowed stake in Dangote Refineries! How can a non- performing govt agencies be taking part in a new Organization as Dangote?
Somethings is definitely wrong and that is why we are just as we are!

Wickedness of the highest order.

FG has more than N242b but refused to attend to ASUU's demand which is not up to N20b

This era of "oil boom" should be a blessing to oil producing countries. But the reverse is the case with Nigeria. After all the change campaign, Buhari could not renovate a single refinery let alone build a new one. The little gain from high oil prices will still be wiped out with subsidy.

But who will help Nigeria? God? Tinubu? Atiku? Wike? Rochas? Umahi? Osibanjo? The answer is:

None of them.

It not about building refinery...
If we refine our oil..subsidies will still remain if refineries are not allowed to run at a profit

It means subsidy would still be paid but it would just be called FAAC withdraw.

There'll be no genuine subsidy removal unless and until there's no more "withdraw" from any account and the FG continue to get any revenue from taxes which have already been increased on everything in Nigeria. It appears the so called subsidy removal is a big fraud.

Unless there's no more "withdraw", there's no subsidy removal yet. If Nigerians fall for this, it means we're very stupid people.

Stop deceiving ur self there is nothing like suitable person for any job...

The problem is visible to the blind and audible to the deaf..

We need to end subsidies or we keep paying for it..simple..
The FG planned to remove subsidies mid year....u rejected it..now the cost is rising.. Ur still rejecting it cuz of the useless sanctions by US on Russia as well as the useless NATO by the US
What is the problem Nigerians sef

Building refinery isn't the utmost solution.. The final solution is ending subsidies.

Read well na...
There is nothing like subsidy removal..what NNPC is simply saying is that...it the cost of subsidies has surpass it revenue..hence they couldn't remit 1 kobo to the federation account.. Meaning that if they have to continue this way...they will need to get money for external sources... In this case..they wanna tap from States through their allocations...

The final solution is to end subsidies and allow gasoline sell for N400 or more

No problem.

But it will have to be deducted in proportion or ratio to allocations to FG, states and LG

That is fair sharing
Wow! Wonders shall never end. There was no fuel for people to buy during this period. So which subsidy are you talking about. This administration has remove subsidy more than once and yet there is still subsidy. Where are our professors, Economist and theorist. I don't think this kind of Economic model exist anywhere. Very sad the future is doom.

Already rephrased my post. But unless petrol sells for whatever and there's no more "withdraw" from any account, then the subsidy removal is a fraud. I am speaking from economic standpoint.

Exactly..
Petrol isn't selling for whatever price it should sell according to rise and fall of crude oil price...
Hence there will be withdrawals...
Except it sells for the normal price which is N400+ per litre...den NNPC will have not business withdrawing from FAAC or using it own revenue...
But will Nigerians gree

FG onced removed subsidies when crude oil fell below $30 ...
It was profitable then..as soon as it began to rise..subsidies came back in order to maintain the price of petrol.....

U cant theoretically say there is no fuel now...
U self know...
Even when it was scarce...
It doesn't mean there wasn't petrol..but it wasn't simply enough...

The petrol supply is almost normal now

Ok, until that happens. But nobody is stopping the government from removing subsidy. The problem is that government and cronies are making a lot of money from subsidy and don't want it removed.
