Pi Network has been seen as the next Bitcoin. Bitcoin (BTC) which happens to be the first digital currency was introduced into the market decades ago and by 2011, it has risen to $1 but today, it is over 300 times the previous price. Pi coin popularly known as Pi Network was developed by Stamford University graduates/PHDs. The Pi coin which it's the first phase was launched in 2018 and the second phase in late 2019 has been ragged to be the future of cryptocurrency/ digital currency.


Pi Network later developed its wallet after testing many Pi wallet apps developed by various developers. The first part of the wallet launched was called the testnet Pi. In this period, users who signed up for the Pi wallet in the Pi browser will be given free 100 to transact within Pi wallets from various users. These users are free to request another 100 Pi coin or any number below need done with the initial testnet Pi coin deposited into their wallet account. The CEO of Pi network coin, Kokkalis said the Pi coin phase 3(that is the mainnet) will be launched in late 2021 and from then the Pi coin will be available for sale inside the forex market.

The Pi coin's mainnet was launched on 28th December 2021 and since then has gone through some drastic measures/changes. After launching the Pi coin mainnet, the Pi coin underwent some changes which are measures put in place to avoid too much Pi coin in circulation or accumulation of much Pi coin by a single person who is using multi-account.


The Pi network group developed/introduced a second security measure into the Pi network browser which will allow every new and existing miner to withdraw his/her Pi coin into their wallet and use them as wished. This security measure is called KYC verification.
