Russian President Vladimir Putin has authorized the government, the central bank, and Gazprombank to take the necessary steps to switch all payments for Russian natural gas from “unfriendly states” to ruble starting March 31.

The measure targets “member states of the EU and other countries that have introduced restrictions against citizens of the Russian Federation and Russian legal entities,” the mandate published on the Kremlin website reads.

Russia will stop shipping natural gas to countries refusing to settle payments in rubles, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

The decision, first announced last week, came as Russia’s oil trade has been left in disarray as importers put orders on hold due to the latest sanctions introduced against Moscow over its military operation in Ukraine.

The world does not have the value of gold to freely dish out to pay off oil consistently. Why? Gold is held as security asset not used mostly as a fiat purchasing unit.

This disentangles the financial sanctions and stabilizes rubles as the current that had been in free fall due to lack of demand will begin to enjoy buoyancy and then value because of new demands.

Nobody has monopoly to sanctions.
Turkey that is not on the list already said they will move payment to Ruble and you think Turkey don’t know what they are doing.

Petrol-dollar gave Dollar massive boost as world trading currency but it’s about to reduce now.
China want to change all oil purchases to Chinese currency and Russia given EU on until 31 March is something the USA and EU never imagine.

EU have started payment billions already to subside oil price just within 2 weeks, protect in Italy, France and Spain.

African leaders, should in union, say enough is enough. I've always said it on this forum that we would be better aligned with Russia and China. The west are parasites who treat us as their hosts. What have they done for us? Nothing. Except for stealing all our natural resources and blocking our developments.
We should work on our refineries, tell these parasites that there's availiblity of their oil they obviously cannot do without, and tell them to pay for it in naira else freezing awaits them.
If everybody takes a bold stance against the parasites who think they can do without their hosts and take themselves for demi-gods, they will humble themselves.

the real problem we have here is cost of landing the commodity from where ever it is being shipped from. alternative don't just work in a day.

currently they all are in contract with Russia, getting a fair deal will likewise be difficult, for if they approach Nigeria and I were the president I will increase commodity price just that I wasn't their choice they just needed me for close substitute of which they will likewise dump me for Russia as their rift is over.
