Start earning first, introduce your family members later, incorporate your friends after, then, your old classmates will love that idea before you finally remember all nairalanders or don't you love them first?.

I guess the topic is about age of the candidates right? So if it's a shame that Nigerians likes someone like Tinubu who is 70, it should also be a shame that some other Nigerians likes someone like Atiku (75yrs) right? Unless you are trying to be clever by half.

There is no hope for this country anymore. As long as the electorates keep voting along ethnic, religious and party affinity. These set of old politicians will still remain in the corridors of power because they can armtwist the citizen by impoverishing them. Until nigerians are truly tired of suffering, then can we see fresh leadership

It's like we want to turn Aso Rock into an old people's Retirement Home.
Else how can retirement age for Public Service be 65 years & yet Ancestors who are well over 70years are eligible to contest for President.
Abeg, Between the job of a Public Servant & President of Nigeria, which is more demanding & tedious?

This is one of the most sensible comments I've read on nairaland lately

Surprisingly it's even the youths that are campaigning vigorously for these old politicians

What digital world is Ortom talking about? Is his world more digital than that of the USA where a 79 year-old is the current President and another 75 year-old is gunning for a comeback tenure in 2024. Ortom should be advised that growing old is a privilege denied to many!!
He should also realise that “intelligence” is different from “Wisdom”… .we need Leaders (including loose-mouthed Governors) that are abundantly endowed with the latter quality! shocked shocked

Not really a shame .... these ancestors are ripe for Alzheimer's disease and one of the symptoms is the desire to be in charge. The real shame is the youths supporting him.
