Few weeks ago, I received messages from 2 Loan company threatening me to tell my friend to come and pay his loan or they arrest me. He submitted my number as guarantor without my consent. I called him to ask why. He said he was struggling to pay for his school fees. He is currently doing his Masters at UI.

To my dismay, Last Week, I got additional messages from 5 different Loan companies. My phone is clogged with many warning/threat messages from Loan companies. One of them even gave me 2 days before they come to my house. I don’t know how they got my address.
I went to my friend’s house dragged him. Asked him to follow me to a nearby police station. He wants to ruin my life. He became sober. He started confessing. He even told me he is tired of life, he wants to commit suicide. Anxiously, I asked “What do you do with all these cash?” He claimed he spent it on his Masters program.

It was hard to believe, I kept pressing, he later confessed he actually spent the money on dates and hook-ups. Whenever he need to fck, he will just go online order for girls and look for a loan company and apply. He get the cash immediately. He also sponsored one of his girlfriends birthday by getting soko instant loan.

The final shocker of my life came when he mistakenly said “As I am now, 40 Loan companies are after my life. I am considering suicide sef”. It was as if somebody slapped me. I first thought he was joking. I asked “Are loan companies in Nigeria even up to 40?”. He answered “they are more than 300 sef”. Imagine, these mdfckin Loan companies where just disbursing cash to this idiat.
The mdfckin didn’t know why I was looking dejected. He thought I was sad for him, he didn’t know I was scare of all the 40 Loan companies coming to threatening me later.

I am really in soup. How do I protect myself from these Loan Companies.

Get a lawyer to send them a message that they henceforth stop sending messages to them otherwise you will sue them for cyber bullying, threat to personal safety etc.

As for your friend, quickly dissociate with him, and keep issuing out disclaimers whenever the loan company contacts you

Something like this happened to me last year. I had this friend I met during my Nysc days in Anambra state. I was at home late last year when I started receiving calls from some online loan platforms telling me that Peter(not real name though) took a loan from them and gave my number and name as his guarantor. I was wowed! Totally obfuscated!

I didn't even know it was serious until I began to receive threats messages that they will publicly displayed my pictures on all social sites for fraud and others. Omo, when I read that message I went berserk. I was waiting for them to call me again... Lo and behold! It wasn't even up to two days when another caller called me, mehn, I showed that person pepper. He was about to talk when I interrupted and gave him the kind of warning he had never received in his life. He just cut the call. I receive no calls or messages from them till today.

Later on, I called the said friend and told him what happened and what he said was that '' I SHOULD NOT MIND THEM THAT THEY ARE SCAMMERS THAT HE LOST THE SIM SOME DAYS BACK''

I just smiled and hung up the phone. Though, I knew that the collected the loan but I didn't want to argue with him cuz it wasn't my business.

And that was how I never receive any messages or calls from them loaners again till tomorrow

Those loan companies ain't get shit on you so when next they call tell them u have the call on recorder and that when next they disturb you or try to intimidate you for something you know nothing about..that they will here from lawyer plus you will demand huge damages in cash for disturbing and threatening your life

it's still not your business and you cannot be arrested unless you sign the guarantors form. That's what the police will need to come arrest you.

At your age you have never been arrested by police and you're not ashamed. How can a grown-up man avoid or be afraid of police arrest? The truth is, some hours or days arrest will not kill you. It will instill some confidence in you, trust me

A true friend will not allow a friend goes down like that . You need to motivate him and luckily the FG has seal up most of the ritual loan companies. You will be surprise that most people that collected the easy loan knows no sleep after they have collected it .
Talking seriously on the aspect of him not able to control himself about ladies needs your attention and support . You cannot call him your friend and described him in that manner .
