Always the same pattern.

The last time, bandits attacked the train. They made the same statements, told us that measures were in place. Now we see the quality of measures out in place.

Why deceive ourselves? Call bandits, terrorists, NO.
Rather they are treated majestically in most cases. I think ethnic sentiments will make the north worse than it it presently.

Why not get foreign assistance? Why not return mercenaries to the north? It is abundantly clear that our military does not have the capacity to deal with the matter.

May the souls of the 8 dead people Rest in Perfect Peace.
May all the terrorists involved in this terrible and heinous deed never end well...along with their sponsors and supporters.
That being said......

SOLUTION :

The patrol vehicles are available but they cannot reach everywhere, they are thinking about the possibility of employing natives until we get those equipment. Beyond the drones, we need helicopters.

The solution is not in running away from the militants or the bandits.
The solution is providing the technology that lets you know that they are around.

Even if they get us approval, it will take some months to acquire them from overseas to install them. We need to do that to enable us see from Kaduna-Abuja, Itakpe-Warri and from Lagos-Ibadan railways, so that we don’t continue to lose lives because lives are important,

The only country army repel attacks from terrorist.

Instead of launching full scale war on terrorist, they wait for attack and tries to repel it.

A country where terrorist now attack military base, just forget it, it's over...

Now they are trying to bring in another shaky old man who knows nothing about technology advancements, nothing about strategic military planning, it's just over
That's why the BH war is still on cus our soldiers are defenders and not attackers ..
If the gunfire of the terrorists is superior our army would run....
They should search for these people and hit them with the suprise attack when they are under the tree drinking fura

Nigerian government are not ready to fight this bandit's....
After such attack set a perimeter
Use choppers with airborne soldiers to look for them..
Or connect with the families of kidnapped victims once the idiot contacts them for ransom
Load the money bag with a tracker...

More of a solution on paper, sound reasonable tho buh this is nigeria all that will just be another avenue for some people to cash out big time, anyone who understands nigeria by now will know there are corrupt elements among the heads of security that will alway sabotage response.
The real solution is JTF, the FG through local government should employ the services of vigilantes across those villages, the locals are better survelliance that can also gather verified intelligence because they see things nd can easily detect strangers among them.
The best way to curb these attacks is to instate swift response, who are closer ??

Buhari, Osibanjo, all their Service chiefs & their lieutenant should be Impeached & sack... They've all failed.

Buhari will handle insecurity while Osibanjo will handle the economy... Biggest fraud of the century.

Don't support evil. Buhari doing less to curb insurgency and banditry. If the incident had taken place anywhere in the South or southeast, he would havedeclared total war with battalion' of soldiers. But he is mute because the perpetrators are his kinsmen.
How do you fight insurgency with such double standard?
Point of correction. Over 60 lost their lives to the attack. And not 8 as being bandied.

buhari should call the Uk government on how they secure their metro rail stations from terrorists, sometimes we need to.seek solutions from people that have already done what we intend to do, but one way I.know.is.the deployment of Drones, making the trains bullet.proof and having the ability to shut down the train from a computer till help arrives

We will continue to struggle with security if we don't have a coordinated defense mechanism with all security forces working together from a central communications coordination base.

The North must be flooded with surveillance drones. The sparse vegetation there should even make it more effective. We also need appropriate citizen identification systems cos the NiN is rubbish to me.

Every security effort will be wasted if we fail to set up potent border surveillance mechanisms and stop influx of miscreants into our territory.

I don't think this thing is rocket science
