The woman obviously had some form of psychiatric illness. And thus is the problem...we don't have enough mental health professionals in many African countries (even in developed countries, there are shortages of bedspaces for psychiatric cases )...so people like this woman are left to their devices.

There are many cases like her. She ain't the only one.

At the end, she was encouraged in her beliefs, and this is the end

We need more money, resources, etc for mental health in Africa.

The problem isn't race...the problem is that of mental illness.

And if you think such things affect Africans...go and read about people like Marshall Applewaite, who ended up like that woman, and took several people with him. And he was a white man by the way, and most of his followers were white.

The thing is, in Kenya , and in Nigeria, we don't have the kind of resources needed to treat and counsel such people. As a result, disasters like this happen.

That's why we have to make mental health more of a priority.
