I love this Checkmate. Now, Lagos we gets revenue directly from parks and garages unlike before when the labor arm of NURTW.

Exactly!!! Government will be able to control the revenue generation. All monies go to government treasury.

I am sure you're not a scholar, the reason you said the above.

What stops you or the government appointing a PhD holder in transportation management, who will research solutions bedeviling the sector, rather than justify this great error committed by the handlers.

Don't worry, keep justifying/celebrating nonsense.

Soon, you will have to campaign for the motor park tout as your next governor.

Most transporters in lagos are Muslims. It is understandable
Are Okada riders part of the union? Cos it seems they are mostly northerners.

Name the Ph.D holder in Transport management that has managed any motor park, especially in Lagos.

Apart from teaching theories to students and making suggestions to policy makers, how many PhD holders in Transport management have fleets of buses in their own transport companies?

I know that many people hate M.C Oluomo for many reasons but the man is an expert in his field, has attended training courses in Public Transportation abroad, managed the multi-billlion NURTW Lagbus scheme with long standing experience in the field.

Many people think that MC Oluomo of 2022 is exactly the same MC Oluomo of 30 years ago.

The NURTW got loans from banks to purchases those buses with LASG as guarantors.
They repay the loans over time from proceeds from the BRT transport schemes.

With MC as chairman, Kudeti as deputy and Mukaila, Sego etc as members, Sanwo-Olu simply rebranded the disbanded Lagos NURTW executive as park managers. Last last, Na national body lose.

Where did the NURTW derive the powers to manage motor parks? It's just a union, let individual members pay monthly dues to NURTW but the LASG can take over the management of parks.

Exactly . With this new development, NURTW members who are loyal to national body can still have their meetings and pay dues without using parks. Though, it would be difficult. Based on NURTW constitution, mc has no power as nurtw member.

The fact that NURTW suspended him and dissolved the ExCo doesn't mean other members can't continue to function as NURTW members.
They can approach the LASG for approval to set up their own private motor parks.

I am not an indigene of lagos. Don't confuse indigenes with residents . Even Tinubu is not an indigene of lagos.
So you really do not know he state and should learn from those who are frrom Lagos.

Most of the Obas in Lagos state are Muslims. most of the ruling families are Muslim and have been for centuries long before the Jihad of 1814

I must have been wrong to assume lagos is non religious oriented then.
There is nothing religious about it it is an identity people are born into "Muslim" families abd bear Muslim names . Most if not all transporters also worship Ogun and many Alhajis drink alcoho
Those pointing out this nonsense are not Yoruba and have no understanding of the Yoruba Worldview. There are many people called Morufu or Ganiyu attending white garment churches or who are muslim with muslim wives .

I know it is usually Eboes bringing up ths rubbish.

As far as transporters are concerned I can guarantee that they all sacrifice to Ogun regularlyl

that's a fallacy. how can most Lagosians be Muslim? A state that was colonized by the British and Portuguese. A state where missionaries started from! before that, most settlers were pagans and idol worshippers! most Muslims are non-lagosians. which should be the right statement

I wonder where you people get your data from?

Lagos State did not exist when the Britis were around. Many of you just jump of Ekene Dili Chukwu and become an expert on Lagos

Lagos state was created in 1967. It is made of Five divisions
LagosCity( former FCT)
Ikeja
Ikorodu
Epe
Badagry

The latter 4 were part of the Western Region and were not in any way identified as "LAGOS" before 1967

Epe and Ikorodu are Ijebu spaces .

The Awujale of Ijebuland is Muslim as were his ancestors
This is the case in Ikorodu and Epe
The Oba of Lagos is Muslim
Islam has been in Yorubaland before Christianity

Inside Lagos Island many of the leadng elite families are Muslim e.g Williams famly inn Olowogbowo

I can say with certainty that Lagos State has more indigenous Muslims than any other SW state

It is not a problem because of the tolerance Yoruba have in religious matters
Re: Lagos Appoints MC Oluomo Parks Management Committee Chairman by aribisala0(m): 8:00pm On Apr 09, 2022
Islam did not come to Lagos from Northern Nigeria. During the time of the Oyo Empire it extended to Ghana and many people from Senegal and Mali travelled into Yoruba land to trade Islam came to Yoruba via Mali people hence the name

Esin Imale or the Religion of the Mali i.e Mandinka people.
They were good tailors and they brought skills like embroidery among others.
It came peacefully and there was no jihad and no sharia which makes it different from those places where Islamic leaders were the rulers

It’s to justify Islamization of Lagos
House of reps
House of assembly
Senate
King
Governor
All Muslims
Jihad movement led by Bola Tinubu who’s also pushing for Muslim Muslim ticket
