Years ago in this part of the world, gender equality was a taboo. Statements like "A woman's certificate ends in the kitchen" held sway. Women were made to aspire first to marriage, before anything else. So much so that some simply ended their aspirations at marriage and those who couldn't get married spent a huge chunk of their lives feeling like a failure.

Fast forward to now, the future of the past. Women who aspire can become just about anything they want to be in the world. From being vice president of the United States of America(Kamala Harris) to Director General of the World Trade Organization (Ngozi Okonjo Iweala) and even globally recognized icons of talent (Asa, Angelique Kidjo, Genevieve and their likes).

However, in today's world where more than ever, we are continually moving towards gender equality and equity, so many women seem to have lost the will to aspire. A woman once called in on "Keeping It Real" (A RadioDelta88.6 program) on International Women's Day 2022, to say "A Woman Can Never Become President".

Can we blame her?
Can we blame women of her kind?
Women who saw husband's marrying new wives over their only birthing female children.
Women whose parents refused to educate because, "Why send you to school when it will end in the kitchen"

You'll agree with me that all of these stated above, are necessary knowledge that can shoot our girls into having the right mindset for their life's journey.

Can these be thought/inculcated into these kids by their parents?
The answer is yes.

Do the parents have the time to teach them these?
Most often, the answer is no. Parents are so busy trying to make money.

Don't let your hustle stop you from giving your daughters these basic knowledge.

So recently, swimming being a basic life skill, was added to the curriculum. You can see the girls swimming it out while those who can't, learn how to.

But these women are in their 60s and started building from their 20s and 30s undecided

Very good initiative anyways.

Absolutely! The women I mentioned started while they were young and that's why "Finishing School For Girls" exists to help more young girls believe in themselves and begin chasing their dreams early.
Thanks for your Commendation still
