2023: We’ll Sue Osinbajo If He Refuses To Contest – Group by TheRareGem1(f): 7:39pm On Apr 07, 2022
A group known as Osinbajo Grassroots Organization (OGO), has vowed to sue the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo if he refused to contest for president in 2023.

Addressing journalists at the OGO stakeholders’ engagement held at Premier Hotel Ibadan on Thursday, a staunch member of the group, Barrister Abioye Akerele maintained that the Vice President of Nigeria, in the person of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is the closest man to the office of the president, most especially as the president is on his way out of office.

Abioye further said that Prof. Osinbajo needs to signify his interest in contesting and if he says no, some of us that are serious, that have an interest in him to come and serve because we know the quality of service we can get from him, this is not a mere political talk, we know what the economy is going through now and we know what the Vice President is capable of doing.”

We know is a man that can reinvigorate the economy, so what we are saying is that if he refused to contest, we are going to petition, Its our own right too to demand for quality leadership, and that is exactly what we are talking about, if he refuses we will sue him, we will let him know that look is it because God has given you all these and you don’t want to use it for the benefits for humanity?

“Only the deep can see to the deep, we need somebody like Yemi Osinbajo who knows the law, because chapter two of Nigeria law is the key to development, this is what other clime are using in developing their country and we want someone that knows the law, who can unbundle it to the development of our country.”

“So if he refused to come our to run for president we will petition him, and not only petion him, we will sue him for him to know that we truly loves him, it is only when he declare that he will contest that we know that he also loves us truly.”

“Osinbajo has never showed interest in becoming the president from the onset, it is we the masses that knows that he has the quality to lead us that are calling on him to come and rule us, so he’s not the desperate type, those that are desperate cannot take us to anywhere, and this is not an hereditary matter so it is our right to call in whoever pleases us and Osinbajo is the one that we want to come and lead us.” Abioye said.

Speaking on the themed of the gathering which centered on “Osinbajo: South West Is Ready,” The Director General of the group, Mr. Suliamon Maito maintained that Osinbajo has “demonstrated uncommon competence, character, courage, credibility and compassion in discharging his responsibilities and duties.”

He maintained that the group is already engaging critical stakeholders in the Southwest of Nigeria to garner their support for Professor Osinbajo stressed that the vice president possesses the right temperaments and needed experience to deliver on the job.

Maito, said the organisation had transversed the length and breadth of the country to sample the opinions on what the populace has to say about Osinbajo.

His words: “Ladies and Gentlemen, it is a thing of joy to see and hear how acceptable Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is across ethnic and religion divides. For the first time in the history of our country, we are having on our hands, a Nigerian that seat well with all ethnic and religious groupings.”

“On behalf of the people of the South West Nigeria, we want to thank all Nigerians from the North and South
Muslims, Christians and Animists who have embraced Prof Yemi Osinbajo as the symbol of the new tribe representation of the new Nigeria that we all yearn for: beautiful in her diversity.”

“Having traversed the length and breadth of Nigeria, meeting and talking to men, women, old, young educated and uneducated, farmers, artisan and professionals; we are more than convinced that Professor Olufemi Oluleke Osinbajo is the most acceptable Nigerian to succeed President Muhammad
Buhari in 2023.”

“We believe that he possesses the capacity, the brilliance, the intelligence, and the experience to taover the leadership of the country at this time in our journey as a nation.”

"We need him now to run for
the President of Nigeria in 2023, to continue the trajectory of the Buhari administration in the area of
economic diversification, infrastructure development, anti-corruption and the unmatched investment in security that has characterized the administration since 2015.”

In their respective submissions, coordinators of the group in the South West states, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Lagos Ekiti, advised Nigerians not be quick to vote for any candidate put up by political parties but rather vote in candidate who has the needed pedigree to deliver good governance to the masses.

Also in his contributions, Hon. Kayode Oladele, a former member of the House Of Representative said, “We believe in the mandate of Prof. Yemi Osinbajo because we know he is someone that has the interest of this country at heart. He’s loved by all and sundry in the country, he is a sincere person and a very loyal person, when Buhari travelled for a medical trip abroad he stood by him with absolute loyalty, all these among other reasons are what we see in him that makes us to be clamoring for his emergece as the the next president of this our great Country.”

“Our destiny as Nigerians is in our hands, seating down here today to discuss one of the very important issues of the day, we need someone that will make that change for us there is no need for us to continue fooling ourselves, we have seen someone that will make a change for us and so our gathering here today is the beginning of that change. We have in our midst, we have a Nigerian that can make it happen for us, we have a Nigerian that understands the fundamental objectives and directive principles of state Policy.” Oladele said.

Mrs. Tolani Adekoya, the National General Secretary of the Nigeria America Group For Democratic Support in her contributions says the women are going out en-mass routing for Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. She said we have seen his antecedent, he moved Nigerians when we are down, we see him as a perfect man for the job, so we want to give him a chance to lead us because we know he will perform better.
