The apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has said that an Igbo presidency in 2023 will end the security challenges bedevilling the country.

In a statement signed by its Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, and made available to journalists on Friday in Kaduna, Ohanaeze Ndigbo consoled the victims of Kaduna train attack, adding that Nigerian would emerge a peaceful nation in 2023 with an Igbo presidency.

“We console Nigerians and President Buhari-led government on the demise of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train, the politicised attacks on the train should be discouraged.

“We applaud the Minister of Transport for his bravery and heroism exhibited in the line of duty to calm the nerves of families and friends who lost the lives of their beloved ones in that ill-fated Abuja – kaduna train,” it said.

The group also cautioned a group by the name Kaduna Community for Social Justice over its attack on the Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi, on the train attack.

“Chibuike Amaechi is only a minister of the federal republic not security personnel, but we know that the an Igbo man as president will end up with northern security challenges in the north by 2023,” it noted.

Mazi Isiguzoro blamed the leadership of the North for allowing insecurity to escalate in the region.

He added, “Ndigbo are proud to announce that Amaechi is one of the leading lights of the Igbo Nation.”

A President of Igbo Extraction is a no brainer

Since 1999 only 2 of the 3 major tribes in Nigeria have occupied the Presidency as either President or VP.

Hausa/Fulani, Buhari +Yaradua+Atiku = 19 Years

Yoruba, Obasanjo + Osinbajo =16

Igbo, 0

So their cry of marginalization is not out of place and only an Igbo Presidency will save what’s left of Nigeria.

The likes of Tinubu and Atiku must therefore drop what seems like a selfish ambition and rally behind Candidates from the South East for the 2023 Presidency.

What’s good for Olusegun and Abubakar should also be good for Ogbonnaya as there can never be peace without justice.

Igbos on Nairaland are already supporting Atiku

So make Ohaneze forget.

They will rather vote Atiku rather than voting even Obi

And still turn around and cry about Fulani dominating.

End insecurity where? If its just ending insecurity in the SE then that is not a bargaining chip. Who are you doing by killing yourselves in alaigbo? As the popular saying goes...'kwantinue'

Try to end present insecurity in Igbo land first before we can believe you have formular to end that of Nigeria. Ordinary Ipob/ESN illiterates revoke Mondays from Igbo land, killing educated, collapsing businesses and threaten rich, yet no solution in sight to solve south east insecurity; it is Boko Haram that are senior fellow terrorist brothers to Ipob/ESN you want to solve. Use another thing to campaign I beg!

Nigeria can never risk giving presidency to people that don't have brain and will end up taking orders from their masters living abroad.
Buhari regime is already too bad that if power is given to an igbo then Nigeria is finally finished.

They better continue to kill themselves in the east or fight their way to their freedom because they are really of no use to Nigeria and the international community.

Giving presidency to brainless people will never happen, inconsequential 5% f**ls will never rule this country
Ohaneze (conglomerate of f**ls) should find solution to insecurity in their c*rsed unproductive region before talking of ending insecurity in Nigeria

So Igbo's are waiting to get the presidency before they can put their house in order?

Then it's likely possible that the madness might not stop for years now as SE can't get 2023 presidency.

We go dey read the situation for news sha

The Igbos don't seem to want the presidency, they just don't want the Yorubas to have it.
Note: I will vote any credible Nigerian. I'm a Nigerian, not a tribal bigot.

I am Igbo and don't agree to this set up for failure. Rather that what Ohaneze says, terrorism will be intensified further by these people to spite such administration.

Notwithstanding, the current generation of Nigeria's electorate will never vote in an Igbo person even if he/she is the only candidate.
Peter Obi and the rest should know this.

Their acquaintance with politicians and other high placed people of other tribes on the loft level has alluded them of the reality of things on ground level.

I will advise them to conserve their resources and if they are true to their words, bring such resources back to SE for the development of our community not to try to impress people who have no interest in you.

Other than a true Federalist Nigeria or a separate country entirely, Peter Obi and co, will labor but in vain to get the top seat.
