Minister of Transportation and Immediate Past Governor of Rivers State, Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has declared his intention to run for President of The Federal Republic of Nigeria. He made this declaration at the Rivers State All Progressives Congress APC thanksgiving event, in Porthacourt, today. This brings to an end tons of speculations about his interest in succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari whose temure elapses in 2023, after serving two tenures. Rt Hon Amaechi was a two term former Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, as well as former Special Assistant to Deputy Gov Peter Odili in 1992. He has also served as Chairman Conference of Speakers, Chairman Nigeria Governor's Forum. Ameachi was Director-General Presidential Campaign Council 2015, a feat he repeated in 2019. In February 2022, he was turbaned Dan-Amanar Daura 'The Trusted Friend of Daura'. He is currently serving his second stint as Minister of Transportation. CRA as he is fondly called has the experience of the legislature and executive, and he goes into the Presidential Contest as one of the Candidates to Beat. #AmaechiForPresident. 1 Like 1 Share
