In summary, there’s nothing like pretribulation rapture.

Apostle Paul is buttressing what Jesus mentioned in Matthew 24 concerning the desolation of the Jewish temple (which is yet to be constructed as of today) and when He comes to gather the elect…which would be after the great tribulation.

Matthew 24 v 14 - 16;

Thief used in this context simply put is that no one knows when a thief will come in the sense that we can not state a day or time in which the Lord will come but when he comes all eyes shall see him.

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen
