I also saw a horrific accident scene while coming back from work at Mobil ring road Ibadan on Thursday last week when a trailer break failed and it crushed about 3-4 commercial cars popularly known as Micra and okadas, the damage was extensive, nobody inside those cars can survive.

It was already late at about 9:30pm and I was in a hurry so I didn't bother to ask much questions before I left, the unfortunate accident happened at about 7:30 pm in a heavily congested side of the road.

First, hope everyone is okay.

Secondly, this might have been avoidable during Ajumobis term as I heard he cleared all intersections from public transport pick ups.

Thirdly, commuters, your life is in your hands. Be safe. Don’t stop and enter public transport at unsafe location.

One day I took transport from that very same Mobil. What I witnessed, the recklessness made me move farther away from that roundabout to a safer location uphill.

So you can pick incorrect english with this terrible story. English is part of our problem.

I was driving close to one carrying road divider slabs a few days back. Noticed that there was absolutely nothing tying those things down. And it was in the middle of a dense traffic. I had to look for a way to get away from the mobile death. And to think we passed some so called Road safety officers...

It was on here that a numptie argued that caterpillar should not be tied to trailers when being transported.

Whenever u r inside a car,always watch your rear mirrors and side mirrors. Dont go and start overtaking at right side ot trailer or lorry. If u can't risk the left,then avoid them. Pls don't be driving car and feeling fly,look at your mirrors side and back and be sharp. I saw one today,abt 2hrs back, the lexus gs has been trashed out,the body ,wires,passengers door,bumper,lights everything damaged due to trailer brake failure. Had it been he quickly looked at the rear,he for quickly press accelerator dey go on him own. Nawa o.
