Bear in mind that Igbos in ebonyi share common ancestery with some parts of Benue, Enugu peoples.

There is much talks about the ebonyi man having same attitude with Hausas.

Yes, the simple answer is SLAVERY.
Where ever you find a timid, arrogant person just know that either their ancestors where slaves who were freed or that the were born into a family that made them fearful and timid. The Hausas lived under slavery in the hands of the Fulanis so there is an explanation.

Also check the writings of Paul the "impostor", you find in the books of Romans 8:15
"The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

And Again in the writings of Timothy
" For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind - "

There is some called "Spirit of Fear/Timidity"

If a people entered a demonic convenant then that demon will keep the in a state thats inhumane.

Goodluck.
