Let him liase with his employer Nysc is more important than your certificate in Nigeria ooo Cos it is a sure proof that you are a bonafide graduate Make he no go regret am later in the future Plus he can work himself to his state of employment and even get to serve in his company if he use him brain well |

Determine what you want to do in the future. If you want to be an entrepreneur, japa or work in a private company, then do not bother yourself with this useless scheme! NYSC is only as useful as the certificate and this is only because it is a requirement for government jobs and certain organizations. Again, if your ambition is to be self-employed or to leave the country, do not waste 1 year of your life |

Heathrow44:Which university did he graduate from? is it a federal university? if it is, then his country has done something for him by subsidizing his medical education. Compare and Contrast how much students spent in the west for medical education and in Nigeria, you would know what i'm talking about. |

Heathrow44:my advice will be for him to go for the compulsory 3 weeks orientation and since he is working, he should spend money to get relocation closer to the local govt where he works and every other thing will work out seamlessly. trust me. |

Heathrow44:Lol, look at this one. Almost all companies in Nigeria will ask for your Nysc discharge certificate, unless you are applying as an intern. 1 Like 1 Share |

Heathrow44:Nysc is very important guy, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. If it's a salary job, definitely they would allow him to go for the 3 weeks camp, paid or unpaid leave. He can then find a way to relocate to the state he's working, and request Nysc to post him to his workplace by submitting a request letter. His PPA will be where he's working. I have a friend whose PPA is a music studio, he drafted the request letter himself. Or he relocate to a near by state or the state he's in and then ghost his PPA for a year, he will only be going for clearance once a month in this case. 1 Like |

Heathrow44:Lol, you can be serving and still run your life normal as you would have without Nysc.. I don't know how people can't be smart with how they do things. Think smart, find a work around for that one year and balance everything out. Your friend should redeploy after camp or before camp if possible. That's his best option. Then he can request for a PPA of his choice. |

Dorwadora: Find your way around it and get the certificate. What if a juicy FG appointment comes your way before clocking 30 and the NYSC certificate isn't ready ? Getting married isn't even an excuse not to partake in the scheme. It's only an added advantage because you'd be redeployed to your husband state of residence and posted to an LGA closer to your hubby's office. You're not even expected to sleep in the camp as a married woman. Get to camp early, get your registration done asap and you're free to go home. My wife is currently serving in same organisation with me but different department and we never influenced it 1bit.... 1 Like |

ikezudon: good advisory, People that go for service and get kidnapped like the girl here that was missing and later found dead, the NYSC should be held accountable for the deaths of its service members! anyone that dies under NYSC watch list should be compensated thoroughly, all this deaths in nysc is getting more more glaring |

Dude or babe please note and note carefully. 1. You can never be given exemption certificate from NYSC. Why? You graduated before the age that qualifies you for exemption certificate. Wait till you are 35 or even 45 and go to NYSC they will ask you to go serve no exemption cert. 2. It is not a must you do NYSC to work/get a job in Nigeria or anywhere in the world but it might hunt you in the future if want to get some jobs especially government jobs as that will be a no go area. Why cut yourself short ? NYSC Cert is like another degree on its own in Nigeria. |

isaiah4life: The real premium tears are the ones shed by the families of the corpers that were lost (dead)while serving the country. Buhari dey rule with nepa bill, you dey there dey emphasis on the importance of one yeye certificate. Oga Op, tell your friend to no even apply for any exemption. Save money, comot that useless country. |
