A frontline youth leader , Comrade Unwana Ukpong who also doubles as the incumbent Youth Leader of the All People's Congress ( APC ) has parted ways with the broom party and moved to the New Nigeria' People's Party ( NNPP)

Briefing newsmen at his residence at Ikot Ukpong, in Okon Eket , the eldest son of a one time house of assembly member, Hon Moses Ukpong of blessed memory, said that there is no major difference in ideology between the two major parties , presently dominating the political landscape in Nigeria'.

According to the youth activist, " The difference between APC and PDP is like six and half a dozen and as such , we have to look for a better option and credible alternative that will serve the interest of the generality of the entire masses. NNPP is coming with a bang to fill that vacuum, as a third force."

Comrade Ukpong therefore appealed to all and sundry , to come out en masse and join the train. The inaugural meeting of the party comes up on Easter Sunday, 17th April, 2022 by 4.00pm at AC Guest House, Ikot Nsidibe . New members are cordially invited to the rave of the moment party.

Comrade Unwana Ukpong is currently the State Youth Leader of the party, set to make waves and take the entire land of promise, by storm in the days ahead.

"As a mass movement, a third leg in the nation’s political tripod and a leading opposition party in the country, the New Nigeria People’s Party has become the beautiful bride of Nigerian democracy. The ongoing alignment and realignment of political forces are eloquent testimony of the party’s determination to win future elections in the country and salvage our dear nation from the jaws of political buccaneers masquerading as democrats with the sole intention to loot our common patrimony."

He said, “Our party is not for the aggrieved. It is not a party for people jumping from one party to another. We can’t continue to recycle rubbish and expect the country to move forward. This party is on God’s mission to salvage this country.”

He also said that the party does not believe in any zoning arrangement rather it chooses its candidates based on merit and ability to deliver and devoid any ethnic or religious consideration.
