A military unit in Gusau, Zamfara State had suffered from too many ambushes from bandits.

A new Lt. Col. deployed to the Unit announced that they were going to attack bandits at 9am the next day.
Deliberately, at 10am he left his house and on arrival at his Unit asked his men to fall in on parade ground.

He asked that they be searched and all their phones collected. He then went to stay in his office for over an hour.

When he came out of the office, he instructed the soldiers to fall in again on parade ground and brought a big table upon which he lined up all the phones.

The first phone rang, he asked who is the owner? The soldier came forward. He was commanded to answer on speaker. A bandit was calling him to find out when the Unit is coming out to the Bush and how many they were, so they can be ambushed.
The Lt.Col. asked him to drop the phone and move aside.

That's how he discovered 8 soldiers and 2 Mopol collaborators/informants of the bandits.

May God protect us.

I thought they claimed they were gonna ‘unveil’ these terrorists, now they’re negotiating with them?? Who doesn’t know the Fulani govt of Nigeria and these terrorists are the same people?!

The federal government has began talks with terrorists who attacked the Abuja-Kaduna bound train last month.

Do you hear that folks. Why not go and bomb their location in the forest? Your government is the sponsor of TERRORISM in your God damned country.

From all indications, it's only those terrorising the country that are benefiting. What do the law abiding citizens stand to gain from Nigeria?

You quoted the part that sooted your emotions. Why leave out this below?

“We acknowledged it and we appreciate it. But what we want to add is that the government should speed up the process of discussion with them (terrorists) so that they can come out to release our people soonest. This is our appeal now,” he added.

The government says they are on top of the issue..

They didn't say specifically...that they and negotiating

And the family of the victims could have assumed that "being on top of the issue" means they are negotiating..

The Koko is dat...
Did government say they were negotiating according to the article....

Answer is no..

Anyways am not rulling out that possiblity
