It's their choice quit understood. But why did the act not provide that someone like osibanjo step down while he is contesting?

Malami has an history of giving poor legal advice to the President. If Malami likes, he shouldn't resign. He will be a victim of his foolishness and zero understanding of the law.

Invalid law by the courts.

Malami is the brain behind this. Unfortunately, his candidature will be declared invalid when primaries have closed. APC Kebbi will either not have a candidate or substitute his name with someone else.

Well, if you study the quality of legal advice emanating from him, you will understand why Buhari always lost in court. Malami is not a very cerebral person and that will be his undoing in his quest for Governorship.

Haba na! I won’t agree that he is not very cerebral. Rather, he is a smart chap. But then when you are overly technical, you become blinded by the offerings of common law.

Especially if you are in a powerful position to do and undo.

If he is not cerebral, how did he pass law exams and became a SAN?

That’s no small feat. Nor loud am.

But then, I agree with you to the extent that he is not a follower of equity. And such a person always suffers in the hands of the law.

But then he is learned in Islamic law and same is like a one way jacket. More of Mosiac legal jurisprudence and the British version.

I also agree with you that he is not very wise and brilliant. He ought to understand that the rule of law is a patient bird.

He should ask the AGF that turned the law on her head in 2010. He is still paying a decade after. The law is patiently dealing with him now that he is not in a position to defend himself politically.

Most of you commenting did not even read the post.

Or didn't you guys read this part below;

Rather, the President believes that the decision to quit his cabinet should be left for the individuals, claiming that the controversial provision in the Electoral Act demanding that such political appointees should resign had been overturned by the court.

To all the Yorubas here (Osinbajo & Tinubu fans) hoping for Amaechi to be disqualified, you guys are dreaming.

The courts can't delete a validly made law

it can if the amendment was rejected and the law is unconstitutional. The courts can correct it.

we cannot leave the country at the mercy of rogue and compromised senators. The judiciary plays a part in creating valid laws.

Malami is in the right on this matter. its not about Malami bt the right thing.
