When I read or hear people saying the clergy shouldn't talk about politics or criticise politicians, it baffles me and I honestly think they are missing the point. The clergy are the most qualified people to do that; they serve as a moral compass in any society. Do away with morality in a nation, then you have a twisted nation, a nation headed for doom. As a matter of fact, people who hold political positions are also clergymen, they have their own anointing irrespective of how good or bad they are. Political positions are reverred positions. This is the reason it should matter SO MUCH to the citizens who they elect as their leaders. Leave people like Kukah, Mbaka, Oyedepo etal to talk about politics. It is part and parcel of their call. Politics started from the church... Like Catholic priests, during there years in seminary, they study so many courses about politics. Non of this politicians can match them when it comes to political matters |

Absolutely. Calling for clergymen to stop talking politics shows little or no understanding BabalawoPikin: |
