They're not to do so... But for my hood, nursing mothers, pregnant women include aging women of over 90 are still fasting here... Nothing you will ever say to them, they will not heed to it. They will just tell you, their system carry am. |

Islam shouldn't encourage this at all. Its quite dangerous for pregnant women not to eat when they are pregnant. A pregnant woman can't make the decision to fast or not since only doctor can make that decision and u should already know the doctor answer is a big NO, its very dangerous |

Yes she can fast if she has the strength and healthy enough to do so.. But if she knows it will cause her or the baby any hardship she should not fast but to be repaid later after weaning. |

KaluwisxPRO: ISLAM already clarify the issue but people whose intent is to destroy GOD'S religion are try.. ISLAM ALREADY SAID FASTING ISN'T ORDAIN TO CERTAIN NUMBER OF PEOPLE DURING THE MANDATORY FASTING. SICK PERSON, WOMEN DURING MENSTRUAL, TRAVELLERS, OLD AGE, INFANT, PREGNANT WOMEN, islam already clarify everything but people who love destruction always choose it over peace even if peace is sold for free |

Babalola0920:Thanks for your correction , I probably copied the wrong reply with the right answer which i have corrected with the right reply with the right answer now, but why call another RUBBISH and you are fasting and want Allah to bless you ? Why did you not use wisdom and kind words like the Prophet admonished in your reply? Any way this is the right reply with right answer. If a pregnant woman or a suckling mother can observe the fast but with difficulty, or they fear for themselves or their babies, they do not have to make up for the missed days. They should, instead, feed a poor person for every day that they didn’t fast, according to the hadith of the Prophet صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم: “Allah relieved the traveler from half of the prayer and fasting, and relieved the pregnant woman and the suckling woman from fasting”(1). Making up missed days is an obligation on the traveler, according to Allah’s Word: ﴾And whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Saum (fast) must be made up] from other days﴿ [Al-Baqarah (The Cow): 185]. Feeding poor persons is an obligation on old men and old women, on the pregnant and suckling women, according to Allah’s Word: ﴾And as for those who can fast with difficulty, (e.g. an old man), they have (a choice either to fast or) to feed a Miskîn (poor person) (for every day)﴿ [Al-Baqarah (The Cow): 184]. The ruling which states that it is possible for a pregnant or a suckling woman to not observe the fast and they have to feed poor persons and there is no making up for the missed days, is the correct opinion. It is the opinion of Ibn `Abbâs and Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهم and others. It is reported that Ibn `Abbâs رضي الله عنهما said: “If the pregnant woman fears for herself and the suckling woman fears for her baby in Ramadan let them not observe the fasting. They should, instead, feed a poor person for every day. They do not have to make up for the missed days”(2). It is also reported that: “He saw a slave girl (with whom he had a child) who was pregnant or suckling and told her: you are someone who can not observe the fasting. You should, instead, feed a poor person for every day and you does not have to make up for the missed days”(3). In addition, Ad-Dâraqutni reported that Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهما: “Was asked by his wife, when she was pregnant, [if it is possible to not fast]. He answered: do not fast and feed a poor person for every day and do not make up for the missed days”(4). As the saying of Ibn `Abbâs and Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهم was known among the Companions and there were no Companion who opposed them. So, it is a reliable proof and Ijmâ` (a consensus for the majority of the scholars). This is known, among the men of Ussûl Al-Fiqh (the fundamentals of jurisprudence), by “the silent consensus”(5) and that the interpretation [of the verse] by Ibn `Abbâs رضي الله عنهما is related to the reason why the verse is revealed. And it is stated in the science of hadith that the interpretation [of a verse] which is related to the reason why a verse is revealed has the ruling of Raf`(6) (as if it is said by the Prophet صلَّى الله عليه وسلَّم). So, a saying like this is more correct than the other sayings which are based on the opinion and analogy. |

I'm glad the narrative was corrected and apology for using the word RUBBISH, as there are lot of perpetrators online in the platform using all possible means to destroy ISLAM through every possible means as there are lot of non muslim who comes only simple because they knew 1 or 2 about arabic they started misleading people and who some people who are genuinely interested in the religion will found as evidence against the religion. Kindly review what you post isn't at all related to what you're saying the chapter quote said Fasting for a Limited number of days and whoever is ill or on a journey should skilled and pay back in number of days after finding comfort or return back from the journey. Breaking down QUR'AN said ill and among scholars a woman who's pregnant is already among the ill people as the discomfort the pregnancy is giving her is enough not to fast also a breastfeeding mother, also a sick person's, people of age and someone who's on a journey rotimage: |

Babalola0920: Which part of the words I typed you did not understand? I said they can fast if they know they have the strength (not they must fast) Qur'an did give them the leverage to skip it if they can't and to be repaid later (not totally exempted) and they are not forbidden as well to fast if they can... Even the rulings on a traveler is to start his/her journey with the intention and in the state of fasting then if the stress of the journey is now much then he/she can break the fast and repay it later. Qur'an or the Prophet did not forbade them to fast but only give them the grace of skipping it if they can't. Thanks |
