The odds favour SW with the situation on ground.

On what basis will APC microzone to other region? Politics is a serious game of interest and not just gambling or casino.

You do everything to win election and pacify the aggrieved later.

NW has the highest numbers of delegates followed by SW.

In fact the numbers of delegates in Kano and Katsina in more than the total number of delegates from SE. We all know where those delegates from the north would likely cast their votes.

Now the party leaders would influence the delegate to vote a candidate from such zone who can deliver at the general election. This is another area where it favours SW who has 5governors from the APC which will translate to huge number of votes for the party and boost it strength as having the largest numbers of registered voters after NW.

The role played by ACN headed by Tinubu cannot be ignored now that there are high distrust among various ethic group.

Now that there are different ethnic agitations and SW seems to be the only region that has been able to suppress its agitator is a factor that would count in deciding where the candidate would emerge.

Buhari/Osinbajo relationship is another factor that would count as he stood with his principal despite attempt by some northern governor to lure him to take the leadership while Buhari was on medical trip. The antecedents of Buhari show that he always carry his loyalist along as all members of CPC outside his region are well catered for in this government.

APC needs a generally acceptable candidate to compete with PDP because of their poor performance while election rigging would be reduced as a result of the electoral act
