2023: Consensus Candidacy Not Solution To Nigeria’s Problems – Peter Obi by 00FFT00(m): 4:56pm On Apr 24, 2022
One of the presidential aspirants of the Peoples Democratic Party and former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has said the consensus arrangement being promulgated by some aspirants was not what Nigeria needs at the present time, adding that the country needs someone that would work to rescue the country to get out of its challenges as the next president.

He also said Nigerians should not allow the All Progressive Congress government to continue, stating the government has drawn the country backward.

Obi stated this while speaking at a meeting with chieftains of the PDP in Ondo State, at the party secretariat in Akure, the state capital, on Sunday, ahead the forthcoming primaries of the party.

He said, “The children can no longer eat, we are at high level of misery, we cannot allow them to continue.

“If nothing is done to Nigeria’s problem, it will consume all of us. It will consume our children too.

“We must not talk about the consensus now, we must talk about who will work. Nigerians want consensus that will solve the Nigerian problem.

“We want someone that will take Nigeria from consumption to production level. We must elect somebody that can do the work. We are not talking about who will become the next president of Nigeria but who will start working for this country called Nigeria.”

In his remarks, a leader of the PDP in Ondo and former governor of the state , Olusegun Mimiko, said the PDP was lucky to have competent and credible persons as aspirants to contest for the post of president.

Talk talk Pandora Adaobi

This man can kill us with his many talks... And zero achievement or Landmark Project for 8 years( no flyover, hospitals, Universities, airport, metro busses or common stadium built)

Anyways what do you expect from someone whose only qualification is BSC Philosophy

Anambra is the second smallest state in Nigeria, with just 4,888 square feet kilometres of Bush and river yet it has some of the most horrible road network ever

He has being preaching about Economic bullshit yet the state he governed for 8 years ranks 16 out of 36 in Gross Domestic Product

Challenge his supporters to a meaningful constructive argument on what he did for 8yeaes with his allocation then they start to fight you and call you names

Who are you trying to deceive with your cooked up figures that are not matched by provision of schools for every child, provision of water in every building, doctors and other healthcare professionals employed since 1999 etc.
instead ThiefNuibu’s Lagos is one of the worst global cities every year.

itubaba001:
Lagos, the commercial hub of Nigeria, has been ranking as one of the worst places to live in the world for the nine straight years, a BusinessDay analysis shows.

Data from the 2019 Global Liveability Index published by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), the world’s leader in global business intelligence, shows the city has been within the range of 137th-139th position out of a total of 140 cities in the world from year 2011-2019.

Last year, Nigeria overtook India as the country with the largest number of people living in extreme poverty, thereby becoming the world capital of poverty, according to the Brookings Institute. This year, the number has risen to 91.6 million from 87 million in June 2018. Every minute, six Nigerians enter the group of extremely poor people, according to the World Poverty Clock.

Consensus presidential candidate is not a solution at all and if you disagree with the quoted extracts below from Obi then you are part of the problems of Nigeria that needs to be expunged.

“We want someone that will take Nigeria from consumption to production level. We must elect somebody that can do the work. We are not talking about who will become the next president of Nigeria but who will start working for this country called Nigeria.”

I'm one of the few people that believe that the electorates are the major problems of Nigeria because they are the ones that cheer and vote for these recycled career criminals in power for decades.

Abi saraki wan get ticket true true? Na wah oo. He's the major advocate of concensus candidacy in the party. No wonder Atiku was complaining about this option

The people I don't want to see their names on the ballot paper are Atiku, Tinubu, Bala Mohammed, and Yaya Bello, Chris Ngige, Adamu Garba and a few others. Any other person can be there not minding the region, religion, or ethnicity.

I wanted to abuse you then I remembered that we can communicate without abuse. The fly overs at Awka were started by Peter Obi and almost completed by the same person. Only for Willie to come in, complete it within few months and carry his pictures to paste everywhere that Willie is working.

I am already tired explaining. Believe what you want to believe. Just know that Peter Obi was someone who worked. Rather than painting an image of his success, his success spoke for him.
