The Russian invasion of Ukraine is the largest conflict that Europe has seen since World War II, with Russia conducting a multi-pronged offensive across the country.



So, which countries sent military and humanitarian assistance to Ukraine?



1. Bulgaria - Unspecified number of clothes, shoes, tents, sheets, blankets.
2,000 helmets and 2,000 bulletproof vests only for civilian purposes announced on 7 April 2022.

2. Chile - On 24 March 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Antonia Urrejola, announced that, at the instruction of President Gabriel Boric, an urgent shipment of US$100,000 will be made for humanitarian aid to Ukraine. This money will come from the Chile Fund against Hunger and Poverty, which will be channelled through the International Federation of the Red Cross.

3. China - The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, said on 9 March that the Chinese Red Cross would provide humanitarian assistance worth 5 million yuan ($791,540) to Ukraine, consisting of daily necessities.
Additional 10 million yuan ($1.57 million) of humanitarian assistance offered on 21 March 2022.

4. Columbia - On March 24, Colombian president Ivan Duque announced a humanitarian aid donation, channeled through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, destined for Ukrainian refugees.

5. Cyprus - 235 tones of humanitarian aid on 5 April 2022.

6. Georgia - The Republic of Georgia has sent over 400 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine as of 1 April 2022.
The first 100 tons that were sent on 27 February 2022, included 30 types of medicines, oxygen concentrators, additional transfusion equipment and blood. On 6 March 2022, 40 tons of food, beverages, clothes, hygiene products and further medical supplies were delivered. Further 100 tons of non-perishable goods, basic necessities and more medicine were transported on 11 March 2022.Another 120 tons of aid went out on 28 March 2022, which initiated the second phase. A total of 100 tons were also donated by the Georgian Red Cross and Enterprise Georgia state programme on 14 and 30 March 2022 respectively. The Georgian government stated that it would continue mobilizing humanitarian aid.

7. Iceland - The Government of Iceland decided to offer to transport military equipment to Ukraine for other countries, as Iceland does not have a military of its own. An Air Atlanta Icelandic freighter has been chartered and used to deliver military equipment from Slovenia to Ukraine.

8. India - Medicines, medical equipment.
100 Tents, 2,500 blankets on 3 March 2022.

9. Ireland - The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney, approved military aid for Ukraine:
€9 million worth of non-lethal military equipment on 27 February 2022.

10. Japan - Prime Minister Fumio Kishida approved military aid for Ukraine:
Bulletproof vests and helmets Aid was made under Article 116-3 of the Self-Defense Forces Act and is deemed not a violation of the Three Principles on Arms Exports.

11. Kazakhstan - 1 March 2022: 28.2 tons including medicine
28 March: 17.5 tons including bedding and food

12. Kosovo - €100,000 for humanitarian aid.

13. Kuwait - $2 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine and its neighboring countries on 16 April 2022

14. Latvia - Ministry of Defence delivered Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 23 February 2022
Latvian National Armed Forces donated 30 truckloads of individual equipment and supplies (including combat helmets, dried food, medical devices and medicine) on 26 February 2022.
Ministry of Defence delivered 90 unmanned aerial vehicles donated by Latvian companies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 3 March 2022.
On April 6 Ministry of Defense announced that the total military aid had exceeded €200 million.
Riga City Council approved €500,000 aid to Ukraine on 25 February 2022.
Government of Latvia approved €1.2 million aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on 26 February 2022.

15. Liechtenstein - 500,000 CHF worth of humanitarian aid on 25 February 2022

16. Lithuania - Weapons and ammunition, military training with instructors deployed in Ukraine, medical support as well as non-lethal military equipment (thermal and night vision devices, helmets, bullet proof vests, search and rescue equipment, etc) since 2014.
FIM-92 Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems and ammunition on 13 February 2022.
Further €10 million military aid and continuous support was agreed on 23 March 2022.
On 21 April 2022, it was announced that since then Lithuania donated 120 mm heavy mortars, anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons, ammunition, grenades, machine guns, submachine guns and other equipment.
€23 million in military equipment by the Blue/Yellow charity since 2014.
€4 million in medical assistance sent on early March, 2022.[194]

17. Malta - The Government of Malta sent 6 containers of medicines and medical equipment worth over €1.15 million to Ukraine

18. Luxembourg - 100 NLAW anti-tank weapons, jeeps, and 15 military tents announced on 28 February 2022.

19. Moldova - On 2 April 2022, the Government of Moldova has sent its first humanitarian aid package worth 24 million lei or €1.2 million to Ukraine.

20. Mongolia - $200,000 of humanitarian aid on 4 April 2022.

21. New Zealand - Pledge of NZ$5 million partially for the purchase of non-lethal military equipment through NATO announced on 21 March 2022. Donation of surplus NZDF equipment:
473 helmets
1,066 bullet-proof vests
571 camouflage vests
On 11 April 2022 further support was announced:
NZ$7.5 million for weapons and ammunition procurement by the UK
NZ$4.1 million towards providing commercial satellite access for Ukrainian intelligence.
Contributing a C-130H Hercules and staff to UK based European military airlift operations for two months.
Initial pledge of NZ$2 million to support health facilities on the ground and providing basic needs – such as food and hygiene items on 28 February.
NZ$1.5 million for legal support to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the International Court of Justice and International Criminal Court on 11 April 2022

22. North Macedonia - Pledged military equipment and material to Ukraine on 1 March 2022.

23. Pakistan - 15 tons of humanitarian assistance which include emergency medicines, electro-medical equipment, winter bedding and food items, delivered on 15 March 2022.

24. Qatar- $5 million in humanitarian aid to support Ukrainian refugees and internally displaced people on 9 April 2022.

25. San Marino - Three pallets of medical aid on 15 March 2022.

26. Saudi Arabia - $10 million of humanitarian aid to provide medical aid and shelter to Ukrainian refugees

27. Singapore - Singapore sent three tranches of aid through the Singapore Red Cross, totaling US$2.65 million worth of humanitarian assistance.

28. Slovakia - 10 million l (2,200,000 imp gal; 2,600,000 US gal) of petrol.
2.6 million l (570,000 imp gal; 690,000 US gal) of kerosene jet fuel for aircraft.
12,000 rounds of 120 mm ammunition.
486 air defence systems, 100 air defence launchers and anti-tank missiles, altogether worth €4.5 million

29. Slovenia - The Slovenian Government approved aid for Ukraine in form of automatic rifles, ammunition and helmets.
The Slovenian Government sent €100,000 to the ICRC, earmarked for the Ukrainian refugees.
Slovenia sent to Ukraine 200 sleeping bags, 200 pairs of rubber boots, 10 diesel generators, 250,000 latex gloves, 250,000 nitryl gloves and 600,000 facemasks.

30. South Korea - The Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs approved military aid for Ukraine:
An undisclosed amount of uniforms and personal military gear (which had been earmarked for delivery to the military of Afghanistan) to be sent to Ukraine instead, delivered via NATO.
An unspecified amount of cash announced on 8 March.
Bilateral ODA to be increased by designating Ukraine as key 중점협력국 "Priority Cooperation Country" for years 2021–2025.
US$10 million worth of humanitarian assistance announced on 28 February 2022, amounting to 40 tons of medical supplies which prioritizes Ukraine's specific requests including first aid kits, portable oxygen generators, blankets, respirators, etc.
On 28 February, offered temporary work and residency permits to 3,843 Ukrainian expats living in Korea. The permit is of indeterminate length and lasts until the situation in Ukraine "stabilizes". The offer includes amnesty for Ukrainians whose period of stay has already expired.
Announced plans to open a new KOICA office in Ukraine.
Market release of some of the petroleum which Korea holds as part of its strategic reserve, as well as re-selling LNG to Europe as part of "international efforts to help Ukraine."
US$1.6 million worth of non-lethal military and medical supplies such as bulletproof vests, helmets, medical supplies and meals, ready-to-eat (MREs) in March 2022.

31. Switzerland - 35 t (34 long tons; 39 short tons) of aid and medical supplies delivered to Kyiv by the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit on 6 March 2022.
On 11 March 2022 the humanitarian aid was extended to 80 million CHF by the Swiss government for Ukraine and in neighboring countries that host Ukrainian refugees.

32. Taiwan - 27 t (27 long tons; 30 short tons) of medical supplies.
President Tsai Ing-wen, Vice President William Lai and Premier Su Tseng-chang announced on 2 March 2022 that they will each donate one month of their salary as humanitarian aid.
Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has opened a special account for disaster relief in Ukraine, calling for donations from all walks of life. The Disaster Relief Foundation announced that as of 1 April 2022, total funds raised were NT$944.68 million (US$32 million). The Diplomatic Section provides grants to aid Ukrainian refugees.

33. Thailand - 2 million baht (~$60,000) towards humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

34. Turkey: Bayraktar drones supplied by Turkey before the conflict. Additional Bayraktar TB2 drones sold on 2 March 2022.[291] An estimated number of 20-50 Bayraktar drones present in Ukraine.
Unspecified number of blankets, tents, sleeping bags, cleaning and hygiene materials as well as five specialists, one mobile kitchen and one disaster response vehicle.

35. UK - NLAW missiles, Starstreak anti-aircraft missiles, Mi-17 helicopters

36. US - Javelin anti-tank missiles and shoulder-launched Stinger anti-aircraft missiles, howitzers and tactical drones.

37. France - MILAN anti-tank guided missiles and CAESAR artillery howitzers and thousands of shells

38. Netherland - Stinger air defence rockets and 50 “Panzerfaust 3” anti-tank weapons with 400 rockets.

39. Germany - Anti-tank weapons and 500 Stinger surface-to-air missiles.

40. Canada - lethal military weaponry to Ukraine and loaning Kyiv half a billion Canadian dollars ($394m).

41. Sweden, Norway and Denmark - Anti-tank weapon, with Denmark contributing a further 2,700 Anti-tank weapon. Norway is sending helmets and body armour and up to 2,000 M72 anti-tank weapons.

42. Finland- Rocket launchers, 2,500 assault rifles, 150,000 rounds of ammunition, and 70,000 servings of field rations.

43. Belguim - 3,000 more automatic rifles and 200 anti-tank weapons, as well as 3,800 tonnes of fuel.

44. Portugal - Night-vision goggles, bulletproof vests, helmets, grenades, ammunition and automatic G3 rifles.

45. Greece - “defence equipment” as well as humanitarian aid.

46. Romania – which shares a border with Ukraine – is offering to treat wounded people from the crisis zones in its 11 military hospitals as well as sending fuel, bulletproof vests, helmets and other “military material” worth $3.3m.

47. Spain - supplied Ukraine with 1,370 grenade launchers, 700,000 munitions and light automatic weapons.

48. European Union - For the first time in its history, the EU is financing the purchase and delivery of arms after leaders agree to transport weapons worth 450 million euros ($502m) to Kyiv.

Foreign policy chief Josep Borrell says some nations are sending the Ukrainians fighter jets.

49. Czech Republic - Prague sent Ukraine 4,000 mortars worth $1.6m as well as an arsenal of 30,000 pistols, 7,000 assault rifles, 3,000 machine guns, many sniper rifles and a million bullets.

50. Croatia - Zagreb will dispatched 16 million euros’ worth of small arms and body armour.

51. Italy - Rome has sent 110 million euros ($123 million) in immediate aid to the Ukrainian government as “a concrete sign of our support,” Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio tweeted.

52. Israel - Israel says it is sending 100 tonnes of humanitarian aid such as medical equipment, water purifiers, tents and sleeping bags.

53. Estonia - which has donated anti-armor weapons like FGM-148 javelins and artillery like D-30 122mm howitzers to Ukraine.

54. Australia - $25 million worth of non-lethal military equipment on 25 February 2022.
$50 million worth of lethal military equipment ("rockets and ammunitions"wink on 28 February 2022.
AU$21 million to the Ukrainian Armed Forces on 20 March 2022
Several thousand surplus Steyr rifles.
AU$25 million for "defensive military assistance" including radar systems, food and medical supplies.

55. Azerbaijan - President Ilham Aliyev approved aid for Ukraine:
€5 million of medical supplies and equipment.
Free fuel for ambulances and vehicles of the State Emergency Service at SOCAR petrol stations

56. Bahrain - King Hamad announced the provision of relief aid worth $1 million to civilian refugees from Ukraine and other nationalities on, 21 March 2022.

57. Argentina - A special deployment of the White Helmets humanitarian taskforce, to help provide assistance to refugees on the Ukrainian-Polish border.
1,500 t (1,500 long tons; 1,700 short tons) of foodstuffs, medicine and clothing, as of 4 March 2022.
More humanitarian assistance will be supplied in the coming days.
The government of the city of Buenos Aires has also announced its own humanitarian aid package to Ukraine.

58. Albania - Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi said on 18 March 2022 that Albania had sent military equipment to Ukraine.

59. Brazil - The Brazilian Air Force sent 11.6 tons of donations with food and water purifiers from human donations that was destined to Warsaw, Poland, while rescuing Brazilians who are leaving the European country.

60. United Arab Emirates - 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid including medical on 14 April 2022.

61. Uzbekistan - On 17 March 2022, Uzbekistan sent 28 tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and this included medical supplies, bandages and anti-viral pills, which was confirmed by Gazeta.uz on the same day. On 8 April 2022, Uzbekistan sent 34 additional tons of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, including medical aid kits, food supplies and anti-viral pills, which was confirmed on 11 April 2022 by BBC news O'zbek, BBC news Кыргыз, Kun.uz and Gazeta.uz.

62. Vatican City - As of March 2022, The Vatican has sent two Cardinals to Ukraine to provide “material and spiritual support” to the Ukrainian people.[392] Pope Francis has also donated medical supplies to Ukrainian refugees through the Office of Papal Charities.

Meanwhile, the US has spent more than $3bn in military aid has been sent to Ukraine since Russia invaded on 24 February and the UK more than £100m.

More than 30 nations have joined in purchasing and delivering weapons to support Ukraine’s war effort. The EU for the first time signed off on a €500 million ($551 million USD) package — a first for the 27-country European bloc — to help arm Ukraine. And both Finland and Germany have rewritten long-standing policy that barred exporting weapons into war zones.

15 million yuan from China, a country that Putin’s houseboys and housegirls swear loves and is totally loyal to Russia. Also India, a poor country that has very little to give giving to Ukraine.
This is what happens when others think they know diplomatic relations between other countries better than actual diplomats.
