In my quest to market Engr. Hope Davidson Igwe with brand name (Hope Marine) to the good people of Eleme I have been asked both publicly and privately what has Engr. Hope done for his people, so over the weekend I decided to look into the “private “ activities of Engr. Hope.
It’s in my view that Engr. Hope Davison Igwe is a private citizen (someone who doesn’t have an official or elected position) and not a public citizen (someone that has an official or elected position) hence the question that should be asked is “ what has Engr. Hope done for his people as a private citizen?
Therefore our judgment of Engr. Hope should be based on his activities as a private citizen which outweighs the activities of most public citizens which include;
1, Assisting the less privileged; over the pass few years Engr. Hope has been a source of hope for widows in Onne clan and Eleme at large. On 24th of December 2021 Engr. Hope shared 650 bags of rice, cartons of groundnut oil, cartons of tomatoes and 6 giant cow’s to widows in Eleme, he also normally pays school fees of some selected less privileged children in Eleme local government area.
2, support for the entertainment industry; Engr. Hope understands that the entertainment industry is a tool for youth development and employment, as a private citizen he supported and funded the ALEJOR UNITY CARNIVAL and also got 50 tickets for the mc generation show this pass Sunday among others.
3, training and empowerment; Engr. Hope for almost 10 years has been paying for the training of youths from Eleme mainly in the marine sector which most of them are currently working in different companies across Nigeria. He has also supported Eleme students in universities and encouraged people planning to get married.
4, funding Church activities; Matt 6;33 says seek ya first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these shall be added unto you. In 2021 Engr. Hope gave Lutheran church onne Eleme musical equipment he has also have been part in other kingdom promotional activities in his church Salvation ministries.
5, inspiration to many; As a successful business man Engr. Hope inspires countless of young people within and outside Eleme that theirs hope for a better tomorrow and that hope has come in Engr. Hope Davidson Igwe.
Finally, Engr. Hope has done enough as a private citizen, let us all support him as he seek to be a public citizen because he will do more.
