What goes around, comes around. Doesn't it/

Easterners were killed and maimed and tortured, their properties and belongings burnt during the birth pains of the Civil War. During the war itself, Nigerian soldiers were sent to the East to run it over with death and destruction. After the war proper, their assets were declared Abandoned Property.

Nigerians looked on and did nothing!

The Ogonis woke up from slumber and demanded equality, agitated and stopped oil flow. Nigerian soldiers were sent their to silence them. The perpetrator of Abandoned Property was hanged in the process.

Nigerians looked on and did nothing!

OBJ sent mindless Nigeiran soldiers to Odi to fish out the culprits that killed seven policemen. Hmmm, they ended up raping every female in sight, killing everyone who had innocence written in his smile, and having fair game at any animal in sight!

Nigerians did nothing!

Boko Haram has arisen. Innocent citizens are being displaced. The Nigerian soldier has again been sent. We haven't heard the end of it yet.

Nigerians are again looking on and doing nothing!

For everyone who looks and does nothing, it will come around to haunt them.
Who is this Nigerian soldier?

That can only happen in the south, the north are untouchable, have you ever heard of any state of emergency in the north?? no way, the military tackled the militants in the Niger delta, leveled Odi, controlled ekiti, put an end to kidnapping in Aba, but were givinn us a lame excuse of not controlling the BH crisis in the north, off all the bloodshed in Jos last year no state of emergency was declared, Bauchi too.

This is a theoretical  analysis of the situation:

Most of the soldiers are from northern extraction, and will not kill their own people, they are only ready to deal with other tribes.
There are political heavy weights in the north, damn too heavy that they are untouchable by anybody, they dictate the direction of Aso rock!
The BH uprising though it had an initial cause, it's now a handy tool by politicians to undermine the power of the present administration to portray it as incompetent, and the government is yet to prove otherwise.

agitator:

Your days will be long for saying the truth as it is.

Thanks man! It's good we tell our selves the truth. one can not lie to his very self! It high time we define what we really want in this country. Even the politicians clamouring for the unity of Nigeria are doing that on the backdrop that oil money is still flowing out for them to misappropriate. The day this oil stop flowing or if crude oil is no longer needed in the international market, then we shall see the true color of every politicians

Ahha, how then can the people survive the tension? If the Boko Haram have fled and the Government's security agents are shooting at civilians, meaning the people are sot safe in any direction to continue staying there.

I plead with the President to intervene in this Boko Haram's issue before it gets out of hand.
If the East and South get to start their own, where are we heading to?

Lots of issues -(1) Islamic Banking (2) Boko Haram (3) Selling of Five Banks by Sanusi (4) Shooting at Civilians (5) Zoning of Political offices - na wetin dey happen fellow NL. Pls tell me before I start having headache,

Imagine the outrage it would have caused, had the governor's security shot that bomb-laden 10 year old boy. He would have been tagged 'poor innocent boy'.

What you guys do not understand is that the average Maiduguri man is between a rock and a hard place. People don't trust the government or security forces anymore. Many believe that if you give any information to security forces they somehow divulge it to the Boko Haramist. They then come and kill you. Now the soldiers have vowed to kill the people in any neighborhood where there men are killed. The so called house to house check is nothing but a massacre of male inhabitants of those areas being checked. After last Wednesday's bomb blast in Abbaganaram, it was gathered that more than sixty people were killed at random by soldiers. If this continues a whole generation of men between the ages of 15 and 50 years will be depleted.

For those saying that the whole issue is about making GEJ look bad, my question is how about the incidence that took place during 'Yar Adua's time? We shouldn't forget that the Borno state ANPP members are also pointing fingers at PDP. Their argument makes a little sense. Boko Haram have been killing politicians for some time now but so far no single PDP members has been attacked or even threatened.

The greatest threat now is that, those Islamic clerics that can tackle the Boko Haram ideology at an intellectual level are being killed.

Those justifying the killing of civilians are heartless. What happened to INTELLIGENCE GATHERING. What this crisis needs is intelligence gathering by the relevant security agency. The pathetic reality is that the govt is not doing enough to stop these crisis.
