Some ladies who were publicly shaved by operatives of the Forest and Hunters Guard in MAkurdi, the Benue
State capital for wearing colouring hair, have opened upon what really happened.

IDOMA TV reports that there was an uproar in Makurdi, the Benue State capital on Tuesday, as some young girls were spotted with coloured hair or wearing rugged jeans were harassed by security operatives.

The forest guards, who were allegedly backed by men of the Department of State Service, DSS, shaved any girl seen with coloured hair.

Humanitarian worker, Ukan Kurugh, who captured the incident, said while the exercise lasted, the operatives were shooting sporadically.

In an interview with Ukan Kurugh, two of the victims identified as Miss February Queen and Miss Alice Agbo, spoke extensively on what really happened.

Their human rights were raped!

This is simply why they die carelessly. A forest guard who is supposed to focus on the very sensitive matter of providing security for which he was employed, is now engrossed with shaving women's hair. Now tell me how the same people they humiliated will volunteer information to aid them in time of danger? Shame.
