SANWO-OLU'S APPOINTEE RESIGNED TO CONTEST FOR FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, Esq., popularly known and addressed as MAYOR K.K. was one of the Cabinet Members of Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Cabinet Members who resigned their positions as the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Urban Development to contest as Member of the House of Representatives in Alimosho Federal Constituency of Lagos State in accordance with Section 84(12) of the Electoral Act. The Electoral Act reads: “No political appointee at any level shall be a voting delegate or be voted for at the convention or congress of any political party for the purpose of the nomination of candidates for any election.”

In a statement and photograph released by Fortitude Media, his official media team, he was photographed holding the forms with other members of the party on Facebook.

"MAYOR K.K. presents his Nomination and Expression of Interest Form," according to Fortitude Media.

"As part of our great party's basic needs, Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, Esq. (MAYOR K.K.), LLM, MPA, LL.B, B.Sc, ACIPM obtained and presented his Nomination and Expression of Interest Form as part of his Aspiration for a Greater Alimosho Federal Constituency," said the statement.

Ganiyu hails from Akesan Town in Igando Ikotun LCDA of Lagos State. He owns two Master Degrees, one in Law and another in Public Administration.
He is from the Federal Government recognized Ward 'F' of the Constituency, Akesan/Obadore Ward 'G'.

He is the favorite to win the party ticket since he has a wide spectrum of endorsements and support of key stakeholders and citizens of the Constituency.

If this man can resign to go for another position, why cant the others.. I know that their greed will not let them. U can never eat ur cake and have it.. Those that are currently handling a political position and did not resign from that post to contest should be. Disqualified... Simple.. Thieves too much for this country's politics.
