Nigeria has a new male world class sprinter. Favour Ashe who was still a teenager less than 3months ago and is a student athlete at the University of Tennessee has just run the world leading time of 9.79s (wind: 3.0m/s) so far this season although over the allowable wind speed limit for record purposes. Had the wind not been too high, it would have been the Nigerian National record. 1 Like

Interestingly at the same meet Nigeria's new female world class sprinter teenager Favour Ofili won the women's 100m running for Louisiana State University in a time of 10.93 ahead of Olympians Aleia Hobbs and Jenna Prandini. Interesting Nigeria has two Favours  1 Like
