I could totally relate with her. At some point in reading the book, i started to think i was Kambili. .We just think alike.
See me talking as if Kambili is an actual person.

I also have male writers that i admire a lot.
Chinua Achebe (His books exposes so much about the Igbo culture), Cyprian Ekwensi, Chukwuemeka Ike (His 'Bottled Leopard' was boom!), Ola Rotimi, etc.
Going outside Nigeria, Dan Brown is one of my favorites. I've Read almost all of his books.

Kambili felt she was an introvert based on the environment she grew up in. But when she went to Nsukka to visit her aunt and cousins, It turned out to be a journey of self discovery. She then found out that she's not really quite introverted.

I also used to think I was an introvert, but something made me realise I'm not.

I knew I wasn't introverted when I found it quite easy to make friends and just start up a conversation with people I just met.

They claim it's to know how man enough the groom to be is. But is physical strength and endurance all that is needed in marriage? I wonder.
I've also heard of another culture where the groom is given a log of wood and an axe to break. In order to know if he's "strong enough" to marry their daughter. Funny right?

Verily,I desire to know what eventually made that ur extrovert part.
Extrovert creatures are usually known to be lively..
I'm quite an extrovert and lively dude(I wouldn't want to say moderately)
But am tryina moderate (balance) it cuz of education and other life-areas...

Some marriage are soft while some are hard.

I think that's your nature and you can't change it.

Most times people who"change" their temperament are only forcing themselves to be who they're not.
These are very good pretenders whose true nature though can be hidden for sometimes, still blows open in the long run...
