A Dutch national who was born and brought up in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria, Yohanna Maigona (real name: Wiebe Boer) has declared his interet to contest for governorship in Plateau State.

Yohanna Maigona, which is his Hausa name, attended secondary school in Jos and speaks Hausa and English fluently.

Maigona who lives in Jos and has lived there all his life speaks an impeccable Hausa.

Maigona is the CEO of All On Energy, which is involved in renewable energy, such as solar power.

.He was almost killed in the Jos crisis of 2003.

He also has an affiliation with Pan African Writers Association(PAWA).
