As for the Apc, I think few hours to their primary is the most crucial moment because PMB will decide for the governors and in general their delegates. In you analyses don't you think the choice of a running mate could affect the votes?
Will Tinubu choose a Christian running mate from the north as Muslim-Muslim ticket may not sell? Will the majority northern muslims rather vote for a Christian VP or Muslim VP?
Peter Obi could likely choose a Muslim candidate which I think will be more palatable to both northern Muslims and Christians from all over the country.
Let's not forget that we can't be very sure of what's left of Buhari's influence in the North at the end of his tenure. They voted massively for him as an individual rather than mere party. That's same way they had voted for him even while in CPC or so.
A lot of them could turn their backs on APC since Buhari isn't in the race.
