Lets take a situation in a school with two arms of fourth grade learners.

Grade four arm A has five bright students constantly slugging it out for the top prize with average score percentages of 87%,88%, 89%,88% and 88.5%

while arm B has only two students battling for the top position with average scores of 92% and 93.5%.

You can't conclude that arm A is better than arm B just cuz it has more students competing for the top prize.

Arm B still produces the best and brightest

Incase you missed it, EPL is arm A while la liga is arm B
