Good evening everyone. I'm currently on the look out for a new car to buy. I have my eyes on either Toyota's Venza or RAV4.

Please can you guys advise me on which one is better in terms of;

1) Fuel consumption
2) Easy availability of parts
3) Cost of parts

Generally, which one is easier to maintain? And also, what is the cost of clearing cars in Nigeria now?

I was also considering Honda CRV. The only issue is the leg problem.

Venza old fast. The body is not as rigged at rav 4

i use 3rd gen crv, it doesn't pull leg.

the rav 4 is a rugged vehicle and most of them comes with i4 or 3.0 litre engines, (i may be wrong) unlike the Venza, it can withstand physically hard and harsh enviroments, plus parts are available, the venza is some kind of luxury wagon or should i say

^^^ if that’s how the dashboard of the rav 4 looks like then I’d rather choose the venza.

Venza is more beautiful both outside and inside. Both cars use the same i4 and v6 engines too.

To the original poster, if space, comfort and a bit of luxury is your priority, go for the venza.

If you want to get in and out of most rugged terrains without plenty wahalla, get the rav4. It's short wheel base and robust AWD will get you out of most sticky situations.

It has rear arms that can travel far from the body (farther than the venzas) which gives it a better off-road capability.

The engines in both cars are usually same 2.5L or 3.5L.

Venza and Rav 4...well depending on what purpose and the terrain you normally use tho, but without thinking twice I will go for Venza and damn all consequences...
