Georgia is an American allie, its a country that is less than 10million and they thought America will support them because they buy and have americsn weapons. I know you will say The United States and NATO member countries.

That would not happen..

NATO has not planned or would plan to Invade Russia militarily and break up the country.

NATO knows the disastrous outcome of such a move. Even North Korea with few Nuclear Weapons has not been invaded and broken up.

Russia is among the P5 of the UN Security Council and there exists a treaty among the P5 members never to resort to Nuclear War because there is no winners in a Nuclear War.

Joe Biden (A seasoned Politician) understand this fact, that is why when my Comedian President was calling on NATO to declare a No fly Zone and close the Ukrainian airspace,

Biden Rejected it outrightly. NATO does not want a broader War. Nato does not want an Escalation of the War because of the reasons stated above.

Purin's Russia on the other hand understands this too...

During his victory day speech, Putin said and I quote him verbatim :

"We must do everything possible to avoid the horrors of a global war"

That is why he did not declare an all out war in Ukraine on victory day.

That is why so far, Putin's Russia has not targeted Poland, where most of the weapons are flowing into Ukraine.

What we commentators in Nairaland fail to mention often is the mutual respect between the East and the West. Between Russia and NATO.

Nobody can attack the other and remain safe. Nobody can attack the other and not pay a high price......... Hence the United Nations Treaty I alluded to above.

Putin's victory day speech about NATO's plan to "Invade" his country is simply Hogwash and Balderdash.

The Invasion he is afraid of is Idealogical invasion. Western values Invasion that would rout his system of government. If they allow Western values to creep into the system, Putin and his Cronies would loose Power.

So Putin's Patriotism to Russia is questionable since he cannot allow his people to choose their way of life without censorship and suppression.

Remember, Russia is the people not the vast expanse of land

Putin is Patriotic to the Authoritarian style of leadership and I understand that.

The whole world cannot be Democratic. If that is the Grand plan of the United States and NATO, then I am afraid that their plan is Dead on Arrival.

The World would always be East versus West. Democracy versus Authoritarianism / Religious Extremism.

Russia formed her own Warsaw pact in 1955.. however after the collapse of the Soviet Union, members of the Warsaw pact WILLINGLY joined Nato.

Please name one country that Nato FORCED OR DRAGGED into Nato?

Did Nato force Sweden & Finland to join them?

David Mark, former Senate president of Nigeria, is a staunch member of PDP whereas his daughter is a member of APC.
