It means your real self...your own self...your self when you are not under her influence or the influence of things around you.
She wants to know you outside the things you let people see.
Some people, especially ladies have that tendency to detect or discern the life of an actor. They can see beyond what you think they see.
She suspects you live a life of pretense. You are scared of her perceptions of you. You go out of your way to impress others...her in this regard.
