The ongoing strike is a great advantage. A lot of peopl might see this as a disadvantage because it distrupts academic activities. If not for the previous strikes embarked on by the union, many school might have not been funded well and might be lagging when it comes to facities, incentives and renumeration of the workers.

To be honest, this strike favours the union than the students. Yes, The students are less advantaged during strike actions.

The demerits are quite much.

ASUU gets paid after all the struggle.

Considering the students now, how would the wasted accumulated years garnered by this incessant strike actions be paid for? Rather, age restrictions have been imposed on almost all reliable jobs, what about NYSC?

For 20 years, ASUU have been chanting solidarity songs with little or nothing to show for. In a sane clime, the so called academics should have found an alternative to this habitual perennial strike.

ASUU is fighting for an excellent course, but yet the monopolistic nature of ASUU as a union had long been diluted.
