The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Kaduna state council has honored some selected personalities with an award of excellence for their immense contribution to Humanity.

These People, include, The Chief Executive Officer, Supeme Family Entertainment International Initiative, Amb. Mrs Joyce Hemni Mathew Andrew, the Managimg Director, FARMTRAC Nigeria limited, Engr Abubakar Sadiq, Special Adviser to Goveenor Nasir Elrufai of kaduna state on media and Communications, Mr Muyiwa' Adekeye, Major General J.A FAGGE, Prof. AK Usman and Comptroller Zone B Nigeria Custom service, AB Hamisu among others.

Speaking During the event, the National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists-NUJ, Comrade Chris Isiguzo has charged journalists to uphold the virtue of patriotism in their reportage.

Comrade Isiguzo stressed the need for journalists to imbibe the habit of setting positive agenda for national discourse, aimed at addressing the myriads of challenges bedeviling the country.

Earlier the Chairman of Kaduna Council of NUJ, Hajiya Asma’u Halilu explained that the event was organised to enlighten members on how to report elections and crises professionally during the electioneering period.

She further explained that the state council after vigorous findings, carefully selected the award recipients based on their track records of achievements and positive contributions to Humanity.

Responding onbehalf of the awardees, the CEO Supreme family, Mrs Joyce Mathew Andrew represented by Mrs Grace Kennedy Musa and the Managing Director of FARMTRAC Nigeria limited, Engr Abubakar Sadiq, represented by Engr Markus Sale, described the award as a morale booster, assuring of more commitment to the service of Humanity.
