A Russian soldier has pleaded guilty to charges of war crimes after he became the first to go on trial in Ukraine over Putin's invasion.

Sergeant Vadim Shishimarin, 21, answered 'yes' when asked by a judge in Kyiv today whether he was guilty of shooting 62-year-old Oleksandr Shelypov in the head in the village of Chupakhivka during the first week of the war.

Kateryna Shelypova, Oleksandr's widow, sat over Shishimarin's right shoulder as he confessed to his crimes, for which he now faces life in prison.

On the positive side, I'm starting to think Ukraine could win this war if they put 1% of the effort they put into propaganda and engaging in gimmicks into actually fighting Russia. But who cares? Ukraine still controls Mariupol and Crimea on Google Maps

Keep supporting nonsense and creating lies to validate it. Soldiers killing captured soldiers is a war crime accoring to the Geneva Conventions, and Ukraine was caught in the act with video and photo evidence showing them shooting captured Russian soldiers.

Meanwhile, a Russian soldier is "arrested" and found guilty of killing an Ukrainian civilian without a single evidence to support Ukraine's claims and you are all screaming justice.
