Gov Tambuwal,
the killers of Deborah were merely implementing the punishment format in Islamic sharia criminal justice system adopted by political and religious leaders of the 12 northern sharia states beginning 1999.

Even if most of Nigeria's armed forces were present in Sokoto that day, the millions of Muslims in Sokoto who had been made to accept the punishment for blasphemers, adulterous women - would have killed Deborah all the same.

12 northern Nigeria states had literally carved out a new Islamic country for the sharia states, but still clutch tight to one Nigeria because of lucre.

The suspects were arraigned on controversial charges of ‘criminal conspiracy and inciting of public disturbance.’ This is insanely troubling, they have already been exonerated even before trial. I would have expected charges of capital murder to be brought forward to those hoodlums, in a saner society they might even be charged with domestic terrorism.

Imagine, military with gun overpowered by bloody civilian with machetes and stones . Can you see the reason why boko haram were taking over the northern part of the country. Tambuwal is just making up excuses to pass by as he must reach the southern States in his Presidential campaign. Just anything to dispel the questions that'll be asked.

His explanation doesn't hold water at all. DSS would have made statements too.

The Sokoto state Govt is not helping matters at all, and it tells a lot about the man in charge

With their guns? Now I know these guys are senseless.

If they have shot in the air, I bet no one of those hoodlums would wait.

They could dispatch peaceful protesters by shooting live bullets at them but their guns went blank when they faced real hoodlums that deserve some bullets into their skulls.

When the incident happened I wondered why she was 'locked up' and not spirited away for safety and to a clandestine location.

Keeping her in proximity to the mob on made for a tempting target in the face of the growing threat, like an icicle before a searing lava flow.
