This is not new but very saddening that history is repeating itself. Culturally easterners seems to find it hard to sit, dialogue and sort out issues amongst themselves. It seems to be easier to just have a hot war than a cold war where things can still be sorted out in a less explosive fashion.
The issue of saboteurs racked the Biafran army and society so much that many seasoned professional soldiers and officers had to hide or their units taken over by less efficient and sometimes non-professional officers and units. The units were full of bluster and courage but badly disciplined and poorly led. Most of the saboteur cases were just propaganda and a way to mask the failures experienced by the Biafran army, the lack of preparation and lack of equipment.
