Things got worse when the governor of that state signed into law that you can buy a gun with no permit.
Even when you have to have a permit before purchasing a gun, there was mad shootings everywhere, not to talk of when you can just walked into a gun shop to purchase a gun as if you are buying tomatoes.

So sad.
Killings of 26 kids between 6 to 10 years old and 6 adults.

1.Most people don't back utter gun control...they back some gun control but not super utter gun control

2.The US does not have a centralized police, and many areas, including rural areas, don't have adequate coverage by the police.

3.The gun is a part of US culture. Banning it would be like telling Nigerians not to eat punded yam anymore.

yeah . If pounded yam becomes half as dangerous as guns, then the most sensible thing is to ban pounded yam from public consumption.

1.Banning guns does not mean that mass murders would stop (Timothy McVeigh killed 167 americans using a bomb made from nitrite fertiliser. He was also armed with a gun which he never used or fired at all. Then there is knife crime too).

2.Banning guns may work in a big city with rapid police response. In a rural area...and some american rural areas can be as large as several states put together in Nigeria, just with a sparse population...where two policemen can be responsible for a wide swathe of land...banning guns may not work.

3.The gun is a part of US culutre. While most American republicans back gun rights...so do a substantial number of democrats, and even liberal people.
