if Obi were electable, they wouldnt have forced him out of PDP. PDP wants to win, they dont care who the person is, as a friend in PDp said boys are hungry they have been in opposition too long and just want to win. The difference between online fans and politicians is that politics is the profession of politicians, they know who can and cannot win and who gives them the greatest chance. Obi is popular no doubt but his popularity is in the south and he doesnt command the whole of the south where even among his core base (youth) he is battling with Osinbajo but his most significant electoral liability is that his popularity in the south comes at a cost of Northern votes where he is virtually unelectable. if he were a southerner who had appeal in the North especially with his cult like following in the south, i have no doubt that they would have given him the ticket. When you hear bala and tambuwal speak you know they understand this is not a sentimental thing but who can get PDP elected...it's not Obi. he may gain PDp votes in the South but he loses them more votes in the North than he will GAIN in the south.
