Atiku Abubakar wins PDP primary.

The former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has won the 2023 PDP Presidential ticket.

He got 373 votes beating Wike’s 224. He led him with 149 votes

Aminu Tambuwal stepped down for Atiku for him to gather the core North votes. Unfortunately the southern votes were splitted by Pius Anyim’s, Udom Emmanuel’s and Nwachukwu’s

With the emergence of Atiku as PDP standard candidate, take it to the bank, APC will not field Tinubu, Osinbajo or Amaechi so that it won’t make the Goodluck Jonathan’s mistake of 2015.

Rabiu Kwankwaso, another northerner has put more pressure on the southerners once he emerges as the presidential candidate of his NNPP party and i can’t see anyone stopping him

The southern candidates are technically out of the equation.

Presidency is going to the North and if it ends that way, this is end of rotational presidency in Nigeria

Make nobody come dey tell me say na British be our problems in Nigeria

As it happened in 1960 when Nnamdi Azikwe could not form a coalition partnership with Awolowo to form the national government, history is repeating itself again because the southern politicians cannot look at the big picture and work together.

This is a self inflicted wound by the south because the children of Awolowo and Nnamdi Azikwe have not learnt from the mistakes of their fathers. While blowing gramnar, making noise all over the media that power must come to the South , the North were politically and silently working towards knocking out this gentleman agreement

Nigerian south, north is your boss when it comes to politics.

The crowning of Atiku as the next President may have begun because the southern politicians in APC may undermine their party just like the northerners worked against Goodluck Jonathan in PDP because of the jettisoning of the gentleman rotational agreement in 2015.

So the serial loser Atiku may repeat the “Buhari effect” in 2023

You're being shortsighted,by viewing the whole thing through the lens of APC, without putting other parties into consideration of what they can do, bearing in mind, the calibar of people they have, and also to think that, people will be voting party, your wrong, for this time, all those things have changed, personality,is the voting pattern now,

Even a toddler knows an NNPP candidacy of Kwankwaso will divide the Northern votes...

Peter Obi defection to Labour will cripple PDP chances at the SouthEast...

APC just need to present a Candidate that is very strong in his region and have atleast some sort of spread in other regions...

Tinubu without doubt remains APC's joker.

The headache they will have with him is ....Can they do Muslim-muslim ticket That is a huge risk..

If they can get some sort of mutual understanding with Tinubu...and he allows Osinbajo to be the flag bearer....then, with a strong Northern running mate...APC will win.

So, APC's best shots are Tinubu or Osinbajo

South and their media were busy magnifying the ills in Wike's speeches but were muted with Buhari's actions and speeches before 2015. We keep on pulling ourselves down. We want a polished presidential candidate. But as brash as Wike is he had more votes than polished Udom, Ayim and even Saraki. What does this tell us? Being polished does not count. We will go to Airport to welcome Wike. He did well.

Southerners are treacherous and not trustworthy. They killed rotational presidency in 2011 when they did all they could to install Jonathan as president after the death of Yar'adua even when the North tried in vain to convince the south to see reason why North should be allowed to complete late Yar'adua's shot at the presidency. But alas they refuted that there was zoning and even attempted to install him again in 2015!
North is now ready to serve them in full dose the dish they have cooked for themselves.!
Hypocrites!

It's turn of the south east , greediness of south west and south south politicians cost south 2023 presidency

Go and BLAME WIKE that lacks character!
He bullied many southerners out of PDP and made himself god. WIKE singlehandedly chased away some southern governors who wouldn't want to be insulted by that FOOL.

WIKE should be investigated by the PDP. He really acted like a double Agent who was paid by the APC to destroy the PDP. Name one person this WIKE didn't insult?

And you really think northerners will see an Atiku or kwankwaso in the ballot and vote for one who isn’t theirs? Did Tambuwal’s last minute stunt on Wike last night not teach you people a lesson?

You sabi well well. Mistake of 2015 will hunt southern Nigeria for a long time. North would be ok with Gej or Atiku presidency. Gej is a weak man who will just spend 4 years. Tinubu is a strategic politician, north cannot control him. Osinbajo is a cunning man, North is wary of him. Amaechi is a stubborn, he would betray north as he betrayed his party. Apc cannot win election with lawal , southerners don't know him. Apc has a chance of winning with Gej..
North wins.

We don’t have to separate to stop playing second fiddle.

We just have to make fools like Tinubu and Amaechi, who would deploy resources and everything else to support a northerner over a fellow Southerner, never arises again.

The north is still succeeding because it’s divide and conquer politics is still effective. The day the Southwest and southeast will give up their political differences, that’s the day the game of the north will come to end.

The entire south must either support Igbo presidency or the North will keep ruling us until we get sense to unite.
