Okhuadams:It is not as simple as that. Russia and Ukraine are brotherly nations. There are three brothers forming the Rus Trinity (Russia, Ukraine & Belarus). Russia has enemies in the West (chiefly the US & UK) and those enemies used Ukraine as a sword to bait Russia by capitalizing on Ukrainian Nationalism to cause a coup in 2014 and thereafter a Civil war thereafter between the Russian speaking East of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Nationalists who are majorly from Western Ukraine. The further threats of inducing Ukraine to join NATO and placing American weapons on Ukrainian territory was a step too far for the Russians. Hence what we are seeing today. 3 Likes |
