Nobody in the APC today can defeat Atiku Abubakar in the 2023 general election. Let us explore the scenarios of Atiku and a couple of prominent APC aspirants.

Atiku vs Osinbajo

This will be a walk over for Atiku. First, Whether true or false, the north and northerners have recently been inundated with hard-core evidence that Osinbajo is a Christian fanatic. This was confirmed by the fact that 99.9% of all those Osinbajo has hired or are working in his office are confirmed to be members of RCCG. Also the Pastor of his church is said to have prophesied that a member of the RCCG will be a president and northerners will not pave the way for the fulfilment of this prophety which will lead to the Christianization (or RCCGification) of Nigeria. Remember, religion is the first priority for northern Muslims.
Secondly, Osinbajo can only emerge as APC candidate through consensus and not through primary elections. In that case, Tinubu is going to feel hard done by and hence impossible to placate or be made to support the Apc consensus candidate in Osinbajo whom he publicly recently disowned as his political son. Here the possibility of Tinubu sabotaging the Apc consensus candidate comes up. This is moreso given that the PDP candidate (Atiku) has, to this day, remained a close Tinubu's political and business associate. Behind the scenes, I see Tinubu striking a deal with and working to deliver at least the minimum percentage of votes required for Atiku in the SW. Recall that, even without a Tinubu-led sabotage, the SW has very rarely historically voted as a bloc. The SW region being sophisticated politically has usually been won with slight margins. Plus, the igbos and SS who believe that the SW have usurped their chance will rather vote for Atiku to spite the SW's Osinbajo. I have heard/read many igbos already saying that it is either them or the north should continue ruling ad infinitum. There are also the Peter Obi supporters who will also not disappoint their man.
With the northern bloc votes, votes from the SW and the SS and SE, Atiku will easily trounce Pastor Yemi Osinbajo.

Atiku Vs Tinubu

This is a bit tougher for Atiku given Tinubu's war chest and organisational capabilities but still he (Atiku) will carry the day. The biggest albatross of the Apc fielding Tinubu is the choice of a vice. The muslim/muslim ticket will not fly. Northern Muslims will also not to sacrifice their numbers and allow a northern minority to be a Vp to tinubu. After all the smokescreen, northerners will still go for Atiku rather than Tinubu. Blood, they say, is thicker than water. Plus the SS and SE will also vote Atiku to spite Tinubu/SW. Heard the recent wike's outburst?

No northern or SE candidate ( Ahmad Lawan, Yahaya Bello, Abubakar Badaru, Umahi, Onu etc ) can match Atiku's networks, war chest, strategy, organisational capabilities etc.

Plus, add to this the widespread unpopularity of the Apc in the north and south occasioned by high inflation and hunger in the land. The killings of northerners in the East has also made northerners disinclined to an igbo candidature which Buhari is reportedly adamant about.Plus, of all the Apc cabals, only one is connected with the global powers that be who (of course indirectly) pick and choose our leaders for us: Babagana Kingibe. Mamman Daura, Malami, Adamu etc are all local (Nigerian) champions. They are nowhere near Ibb, Obj, Abdulssalami, TY Danjuma, Saraki, Aliyu Gusau all of whom are inclined to the PDP. Only Saraki will undo what Kingibe plots with the global powers that be. The others will just make one text msg about who they want the Nigerian president to be and so shall it be. If you know, you know.

Much as you or I might like or dislike it, Atiku is the next President of Nigeria. Write this down somewhere and remember this thread when the results of the 2023 elections are announced.
